My opinion of MLP leans towards the negative side, though I do my best to stay neutral. I tried watching a few episodes (3 or so years ago) because a close friend recommended it it, but I really didn't understand the appeal among members outside of its targeted audience. During the times since then when my little sister has been watching it, I noticed no difference in content. I identify as male, but mentally I'm pretty much genderfluid, so my disinterest is not gender related. As for the brony fandom, I stay quite far away, but if it brings joy into your life, I have no problem with that, so I picked option #3.
The only thing that really bothers me is when people compare the brony and furry fandoms. The furry fandom is so diverse with its vast array of possible species and art styles, while OCs in the brony fandom are basically just cookie-cutter recolors based off of a singular TV show, not completely original content.
