@Aspen

I think it looks fantastic!  Something about the jaw seems off though, maybe his face needs to go back a bit?  Also the eye on the left seems a tiny bit weird, but it might just be me

Thanks!

critiques?
ok gonna start with saying how much I love this piece of art. I think the pose and expression are on point, they give a lot of feel to the character. The soft textured brush strokes are nice too, but that also means that a couple places where you've added highlight stick out a tad. The left side of his face, both knees, and shoulder a bit all seem a little glaring. At the same time, it did take me a full minute of staring to notice those because the piece overall is awesome.

I've been sketching traditionally and then taking a picture to trace over it digitally lately. I think it's helping a bit. Also, I've been doing some comic page concepts and thumbnailing is working wonders.

I could try, is there a specific piece you'd like me to do?

I'd say work on shading, and the eyes look dull. Take a page from Fuyusfox or Emala Jiss online when it comes to making the eyes look shiny.

http://fav.me/d8kitq4  Take a good look at the eyes then try the technique out.

Don't go easy on me, I can handle it and I need to improve.

I think it looks cute and I like the subtle shading but something feels off, other than the fact he has no shoulders which maybe he's not suppose to have anyway ^^'' but I think its his eyes, can't quite tell may be his blank stare? for future reference try having the eyes look elsewhere, looking at the viewer can look good but when facing forward it tend to look creepy and lifeless. Also maybe try outlining only some parts of the eyes or changing the color of the lines at least, atm the lines are too dark and thick so kinda distracting. The muzzle could also be a little higher up to look less droopy but that just me ^^
Another tip is making the ears a little wider and more triangular since coyotes like foxes have big triangular ears ^^

These are all just personal preferences though, you don't have to follow any of then if you don't want to! I highly suggest studying from life(using photo references and such) and to experiment with things! ^^

Also, since it's a wolf and/or doggo, if the eyes are gonna stare directly into the camera/at the viewer, at least make them look big and cute

The eyes were definitely something I thought looked funny, I'll work on making them more lively next time.

Gonna assume this is the criticism thread here...
So I'm kinda drawing furs lately, but mostly just practicing. Mostly at their heads.

So feel to critique this.

Any advice? Just for note the hands are supposed to be big and blocky but I'm struggling with adding any depth to this sorry the lines are a mess

I really like the hands!! I love when people draw them that way ^^

and I think to add depth you need a tiiiiiny bit of foreshortening and/or forced perspective. what this means is adding more minor lines to suggest something receding into space

you could also try a 3/4 view!

I sketched some examples of what to try with the head, but you would apply the same principle to the legs and arms too! you already have a pretty good understanding of it, based on the foot facing toward us, it just takes practice and looking at references to get good at it
