If all goes as planned, I am going to be picking up my partial on Saturday!
Lucky!!! I've saved up $100 so far..... and that was by chance.....

Well, the one I got was $150.
So, if you look on the DealersDen, Furbuy, Furbid, or any other ones out there, it may not be too hard to find one cheap, if you want one to start with.

my partial is currently in the process of being created! *insert excited gitters here*
I tend to prefer the more realistic style myself. here is a pic of the WIP. not airbrushed and no eyes installed yet but she is getting there!
http://born-imperfect.deviantart.com/#/d3blzia Born-Imperfect is making it! she is pretty cheap and very talented, she is just starting out too so im realy impressed. the whole partial (head, tail and shoulder length arm-sleaves, no foot paws yet) only costed 375$ and my character has a mohawk and a realy complicated design.

I don't have a fursuit, but I might get one some time. I've never really cared much for costumes though. I have a question for someone who owns one though. Does it get really hot in them? Because it seems like it would to me.

5 minutes. It took me 5 minutes when I first got my head on, to feel like I was dying.

I'm planning on getting a body suit, considering that my actual fursona doesn't have any fur to begin with and just slick skin.

ALSO I want to get one of Loqi as well, but a body suit

This would be more akin to leggings

And then a regular mask sort of thing---but nothing furry, probably resin or plastic.

Do you think that would solve the heat problem?

Well, at the very beginning of the year, I got the oppertunity to try on a fursuit head. It was actually nice inside of it.
The thing is, his head was ventilated. it had a lot of air flow going through it, which kept it much cooler.
So, if you want to cut the heat, get something ventilated. If you are commissioning someone, it may cost a little more, but you can ask them to make the head larger, as to accomidate a small internal fan to circulate the air.

Thanks for answering! I don't know if I'll get one now. =/ I've always hated extreme heat. But I'm might get one and just wear it occasionally. (In winter xD)

THe night I got my suit, I went outside with a group of people, and it felt nice. It was about 28F outside, and the only part of me that was cold was my body, which was only covered by a shitr. They would make decent winterwear, if you would want to use one for that.

Here is my advice on heating up troubles
1. Take ALOT of breaks, whether it's taking off the head or just sitting down or whatever, take a break
2. Drink lots of water, try to get one of those long staws so that you can put it in through the mouth and drink.
3. Some heads can fit little fans inside, so that helps too.
4. It's a matter of getting used to, it does seem wickedly hot and breathable at first, but after spending plenty of time inside of it your body does get used to it.
5. Just don't push yourself!

I'm going to get one when I...

1. Save up money
2. In college (I don't want to outgrow my suit, and think I'll be somewhat of a normal height in college, that's why).
3. And get a quote from http://b3mascots.com/

Luke, are you looking for a fullsuit or a partial?
Full suits you do have to mind height, although for a partial, it is not as big a concern.

I don't have a fursona and I still think fursuits are about the creepiest things on earth - big, dumpy, awkward and laughable cartoon mascot costumes is all they are - so no. No fursuits for me.
Hell is other people.

Though, I think some look pretty cool and are rather amusing, I would never buy one. Simply because I wouldn't really want to draw attention to myself, I don't think they're ultimately worth the amount they cost and I have very poor sewing skills so I could not make one, myself.

Some are a little creepy, but you have to admit, the work put into those to make them look somewhat realistic is impressive.

I don't think they're ultimately worth the amount they cost.

I can see your point there.
The reason I have my current one is to get used to how a suit feels, and to maybe do some entertainment. I know of a few other people who use their suits for entertainment as well, some for volunteering, and I've heard of some people using their suits for their jobs. So, it depends on what you plan to use your suit for, as to if you are willing to spend money on one. But I still see the point you are making.

They're freakin' monsters!

It's great.

Not toon things. That's what Five is talking about--giant mascot suits- not realistic suits.

CC is the forerunner of realistic suits. Hers are not ungainly or awkward.

But graceful, animalistic, and cool.
