Put this together recently, feel like shamelessly self promoting. Enjoy!

I like it so far   :D  The only thing i can say is the mixes are just a little short, try adding another 64 beats onto them.

What is your setup? I mix myself.

Meh, I tend to vary the length of my mixes depending on what I feel to be appropriate. Sometimes I'll let a song play 30 seconds, other times I'll let it play for 7 minutes. :P Atm I'm only on Traktor Pro (1, not 2), and my custom mapped numark omnicontrol that I transformed the sync buttons on into something that I'll ACTUALLY use. :P (shift keys :3)

Lol nice, I'm tryin to save up for a pair of technic 1200 mk2s, they're going for an average of 200 to 400 on ebay which aint bad at all, and i want a 4 channel mixer eventually. My goal is have a 4 deck set up with timecoded vinyl and midi controller for traktor mapping goodness

I love you're taste in music, especially if you spin trance circa 90-2000. I personally spin Electro, breakbeats, hardhouse, tech and progressive house, fidget, tech-funk, breakbeats and its many subgenres, and a little bit of hardstyle and trance (i need to work on that area of my collection) I want to be able to spin a lot of old trance from Platipus records and try to breathe some life into the label. :P

And no i didn't just go down the line through my music like "lol i own that so i spin it too."

cool dude! ive got a few platipus records, my personal fav is "the airbase mixes". I just prefer electro in general from around the late 90's to early 2000's. What kind of breaks? i spin alot of those.

Lately I've been most into Psy breaks and tech funk as a result of hedflux, monk3ylogic, meat katie, etc. Other than that I find myself drawn to a lot of old school bboy breaks although i dont spin it yet, just appreciate it. I spin a little bit of bassy breakbeats too, but not super filthy stuff. Like elite force and a little bit of plump dj. The bass wobble is too played out for my liking. :P

Hmmm, go check out some Florida style breaks, like "huda hudia," "DJ Icey," or anything by kaleidoscope records. Those are the style breaks i mix. Oh, and if you like psy stuff, go listen to some psy trance, like "dragonfly." That stuff is good. :lol-fox: And i hate dubstep. dont even get me started on it!  :guns: dubstep

I like psytrance, never heard of dragonfly though. Lols for real, dubstep is the death of the rave scene, it's just a drum and bass breakdown that never ends. Do you have any advice btw for getting mixes out there? I'm trying to spread my music but where i am i don't have steady access to the rave scene anymore since im in the suburbs, so it's not as easy as I'd hoped lol

Besides shamelessly promoting yourself, not really. There are a few things like soundcloud and youtube, but the chances of people actually taking the time to listen to it is next to none.  My dad used to spin back in the good 'ol days, but now, the scene has been dead for about 5 years around here. I have talked to a club owner, and he said he will call me in the near future to set up something! Its just sad, the old electronic music is dying. The stuff that had emotion and thought, it is gone. now they just produce WUB WUB for the kiddies.

I see you are from NY. Ive got some nervous dog records from the very early 90's, back when NY house was very underground. Thats where they were written, produced, and pressed.

Do you have a facebook or skype? we should chat more  :lol-fox:

Meh, the scene in NYC is still very much alive, but the parties are getting their amount of shit as well, so i hear that. It's the bass filth that attracts the wrong crowd. And yeah man, look up jezter2500@gmail.com, you'll know its me when you see bugs bunny. :P

yeah, i feel ya. Im gunna throw  Halloween rave at my place.

Trance music just attracts a better crowd than dub. meh. i guess its too late to change it. There are still some old school people like us out there to keep the stick glowing!

Hahaha word, i think you'll see though psychedelic and actually thoughtful music is being produced still and coming up big, especially in europe. Tech funk and psy breaks are the closest thing ive found to old school trance/house being produced right now, and it does a good job of blending a lot of different genres together. I've even heard a couple of good dubstep breakdowns in these songs that i legitimately like (in small doses of course). Hit me up on facebook chat and I'll be happy to throw music at you lol
