Someone help meeeee... *music/brain related*
« on: November 30, 2006, 03:03:02 am »
I just found this colletion of eighties music and now it's stuck in my head, particularly 'Rock me Amadeus', 'Beat Box', 'Cars', 'My Sharona', and worst of all 'The Safety Dance' XD

Can anyone help? Any suggestions for getting songs like that out of my head? ;p

Get yourself some of Montreal. Fantastic band (I'd suggest their latest two albums) but they're just as catchy as those 80's songs. XD

Aside from that.. uh. Sleeping may do the trick. Or random techno.

Find something that's more catchy than them... for example the happy tree friends. But My Sherona is VERY VERY addictive.

Or you just listen to them until you're so sick of them they leave your head themselves.

No it will make it worse for a little while but if you listen to it on repeat for hours it just peeves you off and you end up forgetting all about it.

Trust me, Beat Box [first diversion] by Art of Noise is not something that will be able to peeve me off.. the pounding beat is too good and I always seem to be finding more notes that I missed before XD

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-FNg0c1-74 this is one of Art of Noise's songs, Close to the Edit.. and Beat Box is just as addictive XD

Those are some good songs. Just let them stay in your head and enjoy the party!

Watch that video. It will seriously flush everything out of your head.

If that doesn't work, try out the 'secret weapon'. Listen to this at full volume on headphones

Warning: Unfortunately, after the second treatment, not only will you not hear the songs in your head, you'll not hear a whole lot period.

If it's those things with the peaceful scenes and thn the random grotesque and a loud screaming, I don't really want to XD Besides, Eighties is my preferred music of choice. New Wave is great.. *rocks out to Thomas Dolby - She Blinded me with Science*

XD not one of those screamers, I completely hate those things. The first is just a completely hilarious music video, the second is a really really harsh techno song. :3 True.

OH NO, sleeping doesn't help me at all. XD
I've went to bed with a song in my head, and woke up the next morning to it STILL in my head. I wouldn't doubt if it was playing in the dreams I can't remember.

I can't remember any specific song, but once my dream had end credits. No joke. Epic orchestral theme and everything. :P

XD awesome... The only dream I can still remember is being attacked by some creepy octopus-like, Facehugger from the Alien series with a baby head that puked acidic white goo and attacked me and I died or something... A bit fuzzy but one of the only dreams I remember specifically.. I've never had a dream like it since, thank goodness o.o.. lol
