Honestly, I notice a lot of pre-teens like ferals more *shrugs* I'm not sure why. I like anthros more. I like them more, because they are more appealing to me in the arts. Not only that but, you fursuit as a anthro more easily. Fursuiting as a feral would be difficult. What really rises to question is: what do anthros eat for meat?

That thought has come to my mind often. In Lona's world, its okay to actually eat wild ferals. Like feral cows for meat, or feral chickens for meat etc

I think being in between would be the best. I don't know how it would go anatomically, but it would be the most ideal for me. Being comfortable both on two and four legs would be helpful and interesting (and anyway I can't decide which is more appealing :P)
There IS a way...there is always a way...I just haven't thought of it yet...

I personally like both, that's one of the reasons I like Kitsune so much, they are Feral, Anthro, and human! Their like a swiss army knife, multiple blades in one handle.

i agree with you, as is obvious, but I do hope, for your sake, that you did not forget of the many other changing breeds on purpose as another one of your delusions of the kitsune grandiur.

Well, to me, "feral" refers to animal form and "anthro" refers to humanoid (the typical "furry" character) form, right? I see a bunch of people on here talking about anthros as more intelligent, but I've seen lots of sentient feral (quadruped) characters. I think the other option, talking "tame vs. feral", as previously mentioned on the thread, is close to what you all are thinking, but "animal-like brain vs. entirely humanoid brain" seems like what you're looking for if you're comparing intelligence, right?

Also, I don't personally know anyone with an exclusively feral fursona, but my sonas have sentient "feral" forms in which they are quadrupedal.

...I think I just replied to the older posts on here without seeing the recent ones... Eheheh...

I do prefer ferals to anthros, but not completely.
So as in, ferals with the mental capability of a human?
Well, to me, "feral" refers to animal form and "anthro" refers to humanoid (the typical "furry" character) form, right?
Same.

I don't believe I actually have a preference although I generally lean towards more humanoid forms. I do have characters with Feral forms but never without some alternate more humanoid form as I see a Feral form as being somewhat disabling. I mean come on, no hands! How ever will I wield the bow hewn of yew and the loose the eagle feathered arrows at my enemies?!

I don't have a preference because dragons are intelligent life forms both as ferals and anthros so I would be either.

Evolutionarily speaking, both work to an extent ('ferals' are often exaggerated in environment manipulation abilities).
...I think that's all I have to say, because I have no idea of what context this is in, but I suppose I prefer anthros.

no, I did not forget. I saved 'one of the reasons' not 'the mane reason. The point is I like both anthro & and feral the same.

What's the context? Anthros would probably win in a fight, if that's what you mean.

^umm, unarmed, hell no. If they were armed, maybe, but you forget that by being anthro a lot of their natural advantages are lost, while ferals are stronger, faster, have sharper senses and are usually smaller and harder to hit, or bigger and more compact with muscle mass. By becoming humanoid many of the natural advantages are lost to gain hands and speech (although some ferals can speak). However, the gain of hands is immense, and allows the usage of tools, and the ability to craft things, to pick things up. Equivalent Exchange (cookie if you get the reference), one has given up something the other had, but gained something of equal value, thus, the two sides are still the same.

both, ferals can run faster while anthros can handle items. if you could change between the two you can handle any situation effectively.

I HIGHLY prefer anthros over ferals. I don't mind ferals and occasionally like to draw my characters as feral but I like the concept of anthros more, especially when more human looking(unpopular opinion I like humanoid anthros over mostly animal ones)
