I discovered the concept of fursona first, then furries later. Before then i only had mascot characters and ocs. Although arguably they were all sorta fursonas. I've always sorta be into anthros though.

It started out as "Those people are creepy ass mofos"

A year later its now "I'm one creepy ass mofo"

Not much has changed really  :fox-:P:

Fallout 3 and more time spent modding than actually gaming. There's the math of it. I dunno, I saw furry stuff before, obviously the not quite so pleasant side, but it was just another medium for people to present their erotica to me back then, as I remember it. I think my first time actually thinking about furry stuff and things was an Anthro mod for either Oblivion or FO3 and I was like "Welp, animal peeps are kinda cool"

I was indifferent toward the furry society when I had first encountered them, or should I say, us. At the time, I found myself knowing absolutely nothing about who we are and I had to learn fairly quickly. I remember before joining the society even partially the humoristic nature of the internet constantly degrading the furry society. I was fortunate enough to join the furry society during its finest hour because if I were to see the society today with as little knowledge as I did when I first made that grand discovery, I probably wouldn't have been as steadfast to be integrated and I probably would've turned cold toward us. I feel somedays a questioning emotion as to if I should stay or leave the society due to current tentions, and I too wonder if it even has the strength to last because, to be honest, I'm nothing to many. I still have some hope left in my heart that maybe we'll be great once again.

Man, I don't even remember. I don't think I really thought too much of it, besides something like "hey, I'm not a complete weirdo, cool"

When I came across the fandom, I didn't think of it as anything other than a fanbase for the same cartoons and books I liked anyway, so it was all cool.

I used to be into Legends of Chima (which was a LEGO theme basically about anthropomorphic animals. The main character was a lion, and he was friends with a crocodile, an eagle, a raven, a wolf, a rhino,  a gorilla (kind of weird cuz they're already sort of humanlike), a bear, and a skunk.)
Considering it was about anthropomorphic animals, I naturally had a lot of furries following my profile (which had screenshots from the show on it). I actually didn't know what it was, but I thought it was pretty cool that they all had their own characters and art. So I was fine with it as long as it wasn't sexual (I suspected it might've been, but I didn't see anything like that). My interest in the fandom gradually grew because I wanted to know what these guys were up to.

Random Searching > "Worst fandom" on google, and see furries in the list.

And mass searching about it and my first thought was
"ewh, disgusting" (LOL first thing that i see are murrsuit and yiff stuff)

but after i watch some anthrocon clips,
I see/know that furries are nice people :v

but still, rule 34 ruins the internet  :sad-fox:  :sad-fox:  :sad-fox:
