Hey am I the only one that plays guitar here?

Here's a pic of my collection:

They are; Starting from the top left, I have a: Fender Squire Stratocaster, An original 1970 Gibson Kalamazoo made in the U.S.A, an ESP LTD Ax-50, a Carlo Robelli New York acoustic, Ibanez IG8 8-string (Love this one ^~^), No brand but hand-crafted in Mexico, a Fender Squire acoustic, and a Washburn: Nuno Bettencourt Signiture Model!

You have a mighty fine guitar collection there, but I wish you would return to the forum because you're missed.

- - --

I have a Fender Jazz Bass (original) and a Taylor Koa Koa acoustic which I played during our recent cruise. I also play cello, but that's off topic.

My Sterling by Music Man JP70 seven string is an absolute beast! Some day I hope to own a real made in the US Music Man, but for now, the Sterling blows all my other guitars out of the water. Well, My ibanez S series is about even now thanks to making the neck satin, which the Sterling's neck already was.  :fox-:P:

From left to right, I've got a right handed Yamaha bass guitar (my most recent guitar, however, I am trying to shake out some money from my dad to get a left handed one and trade this one in), a right handed acoustic guitar (that was restrung for left hand, and then restrung back by my mom, and to be restrung again :fox-:P: )Gibson, and finally, a left handed electric SX.

Nothing to be particularly proud of, but I think I am going to slowly customize the electric.

Just a question, and since I don't want to create a new thread, what strings should I use?  I'm in the market for some new ones, but there are so many!  I play very hard and typically use D Standard and Drop C for tuning.

Go anything that is a 10 gauge, don't do 9's. I would suggest Ernie Ball Cobalt Slinkeys personally, but really any string works, I mean they are just pieces of metal aren't they? The only reason to care about the strings you put on a guitar is if you get heavy gauge flat wounds, I have a set of 12's on my jazz box and they tend to last for a long time so a good 30 dollar pair is worth it.

you might want to think about a light top heavy bottom set like this one http://www.ernieball.com/products/electric-strings/1693/skinny-top-heavy-bottom-nickel-wound

since you play in drop c a lot, you should consider heavier gauge lower strings. i recommended top light heavy bottom strings because you get heavier gauge bottom strings without needing to get higher gauge top strings which can be harder to play especially in metal.

Thanks for the advice!  Also, should I change all of them at once?

You could if you wanted to.  it shouldn't mess with the truss rod or tension in the neck as long as you don't leave all of the strings off for a long amount of time.  However, if you're making like a huge leap in string gauges (like from 12 to 9), you might want to consider just getting a full set up by a guitar shop or luther when you change strings. The difference in tension between the new and old pair of strings might be a lot and screw with your neck and other stuff.

My neck is already fucked, I don't think It could get worse without it breaking off.  My friend found it in some dudes basement, no strings.  Apparently, it's bowed in the wrong direction?
