I've literally grown up with the Halo series and its OSTs. I've loved the soundtrack for practcally all of the games. I still regularly listen to tracks such as One Final Effort, Ghosts Of Reach, Heavy Price Paid, Finale and Under Cover Of Night. It's all so fitting, so hauntingly beautiful and varied. It definitely gives me those "chills" people experience when listening to music. I have Martin O'Donnell to thank for this, and I think that he is a truly great composer. Unfortunately, I can't really say the same about Neil Davidge and his work on Halo 4. While it wasn't exactly bad, I think it pales in comparison to Marty's work.

I also love the Fallout OSTs. I happen to love early 20th century music, and I think it really fits well into Fallout's established lore. I just don't think there's anything quite like roaming a post-nuclear apocalypse, fighting raiders and heavily mutated creatures, all while listening to tracks like Let's go Sunning. It invites a sense or irony and kind of reminds you what what the world used to be like. Bioshock Infinite does something similar — except almost the exact opposite. It turns 80s music into something more culturally fitting of its 1912-era timeline. And if you play through the game, these historical anachronisms are eventually explained for you through the plot. I think it's pretty genius.

There's far more video game OSTs which I have enjoyed. Unfortunately I don't have the time to post them all right now, so perhaps I'll post them later.

I can agree with you there, my favorite has to be Legends of Azeroth ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtJcoZ9E9ZQ ).

Some of my best in-game music has to be WoW, Baulders Gate, Skyrim and Guild wars 1+2 :).

Forza Horizon had the best soundtrack I've heard. It used to by the newer NFS Hot Pursuit though.
As for games using original soundtracks hmmm..... I'd say Terraria.
