The strangest thing I have ever eaten is slow-cooked cow's tongue. Its like roast beef.

I don't think it honestly counts as "strange" but I've had shrimp before.

To me it was very different from anything I've ever had. And I honestly was disgusted, not by flavor but by texture.

I come from a Chinese family so.....

Lets see, I've eaten duck tongue and foot, cow liver and kidneys, intestines from who knows what, fish eye, Jellyfish, and lamb heart.
Dear all,

OOOH CHINESE POWER!

I haven't eaten much despite my heritage being 100% Chinese. I have had jellyfish though.
I am pretty much completely American and the only Chinese about me is my heritage and physical appearance. XD

As someone who takes pride in my home state's seafood heritage, I don't know whether to be disgusted, offended, sympathetic, or a mix of all three.

Nah, just messing with ya. But let me ask you a couple of questions: 1.Was the shrimp steamed, fried, or boiled? and 2. Did the shrimp have Ol' Bay seasoning on it? The way that shrimp is made in Maryland is it's steamed and seasoned with Ol' Bay. THAT, my friend, is the definitive shrimp experience (but I guess battered shrimp is good too). Currently living in Pennsylvania, I've found that they don't do seafood NEARLY as well here. If there's anything I miss about Maryland, it's the seafood. If you want to eat REAL shrimp, crabs, oysters, or any kind of seafood for that matter, then go to Maryland.

I know it wasn't fried, it was probably boiled, and no, no seasoning, just some kinda dip.

Octopus/squid tentacles, fried or unfried. AKA calamari.

It's not that bad. In fact, I really like it.

It would have to be a buffalo burger. It tasted a lot better than beef, less fatty and more natural flavor it seemed like. If they sold bison meat in stores instead of beef, I would probably buy it.
I've also had elk jerky and frog legs but I liked the buffalo burger better. The frog legs were just terrible. They really tasted like pond water.

Oh...I've had elk/deer (Venison) before. But it's not very unusual since my mom's side are all hunters. It was quite good!
And lamb. That was good too!

Frog legs. Very good, unsurprisingly tasted like a mix of white fish and chicken.
