I remember talking to A friend once who said he had tried kangaroo testicles on a holiday in Australia. I thought his was pretty disgusting the most exotic thing I've ever eaten was probably snails or crocodile jerky. So what's the weirdest or most exotic thing you've ever eaten?

I saw a homeless man eating a Baby doll. I guess you could file that under exotic if you live in the North East...

I'm not really one for eating strange or exotic delicacies. It takes a lot of effort to get me to try new foods (considering how picky I sometimes tend to be), let alone any odd or taboo foods. But I think one of my cousins is fond of eating strange dishes. Once I believe he ate some chocolate-coated Honeypot ants. I think that's quite a step above other edibles arthropods such as shrimp, lobsters and crabs; because ordinarily western cultures don't typically eat insects and regard doing so as odd or disgusting.

Well I would certainly consider that to be very "exotic" within this region. I mean I only get to eat dolls resembling babies once every fortnight. =P

It was store bought sushi, so it wasn't the highest quality fish or material.

The taste was bearable but the texture is what got me.

The fat? Chicken feet is an acquired taste I guess. Maybe the person didn't cook it right

I was dining at a brasserie in France and couldn't make up my mind on   what to eat. Everything was in French, not English and being ony 12 at   the time, didn't know the language. Dad was getting impatient, so I   randomly chose a dish. Mmm nice! I liked those, whatever they were. Later I discovered they were escargots in mushroom caps smothered with wine sauce and cheese. And I'd sworn never to eat snails. Consequently, L'Escargots was one of the first French words I'd learnt.  :lol-fox:
