These are the two songs that I'll always like to listen whenever I feel down
E.P.M. - Dragonforce, because the begining of the song is one of the best I've heard in my life as well as it being one of the most intense songs of Dragonforce.
Full Moon- Sonata Arctica, because of the keyboard and guitar epic solos
Sonata Arctica! *tears* I agree, this song makes me happy, in fact you made me go listen to it right now. I didn't know anyone else would know who this band was. What do you think about White Pearl, Black Oceans? That one has to be my favorite one. What do you think of their "Ninth Hour" album? It's totally different and a bit sad to see them no longer doing pure power metal, but I like some of it and songs like these will always remind me of those albums. Blank File, Weballergy, Wildfire...
I think it helps to think of them as more symphonic metal now, with songs like Blood, What Did You Do In The War, Dad?, and Till Death's Done Us Apart. Those are songs with their new sound that I personally like, they are a bit more proggy as well. But I know a lot of people miss the old sound, and I do as well. I hope they can incorporate both, I've seen them do it in some of their songs so I think they have potential.
/end emotional rant. Wow I did not expect the mention of Fullmoon to bring so many emotions, my apologies XD
IF you have 25 minutes to spare, I highly suggest giving this a listen!
A Change of Seasons by Dream Theater
Why? Well for some, I know 25 minutes is a painfully long amount of time to listen to a song, but this is truly something else. Change of Seasons is just so dynamic and unique. Plus the lyrics of the different movements are simply awesome.
That and
Blackwater Park by Opeth
Why? The different segments of the song are simply AWESOME! I love the guitar riffs, and the clean part is amazing too! IF you dont like screamo though, I dont suggest it.
These two bands are great. I like Moment of Betrayal and Eternal Rains will Come. I'll listen to these, haven't heard of them before. Do you know Gojira, I just heard "The Shooting Star" and it's quite an interesting song, I recommend it.
