Avatar: The Last Airbender/Avatar: The Legend of Korra

Any fans of these amazing shows?

A:TLA holds a special, special place in my heart. I grew up watching that show; I started watching it in 3rd grade when a friend asked me if I heard about it and she explained the show to me and I thought it sounded pretty legit. She got me hooked. Ever since the show ended in 2008, I feel empty. Like, a part of my childhood died. I have the whole series on DVD, so I think I'll be watching it again sometime soon.

As for TLoK, I've only seen the first season (I keep forgetting about the new episodes coming out recently). I love it, too, but to me, it isn't as good as the original series.
I've left (again), probably for good but idk. If you wanna talk to me outside the forum, feel free to email me. Just tell me who you are in the email pls

I'm in the same boat. As a child, I would  eagerly wait every Friday for the newest episode to come on.  When the show ended, I was sad to see the adventures of Team Avatar end.

I still enjoy TLoK but it doesn't capture my amazement like A:TLA did. When watching A:TLA for the first time, everything was new and mysterious. Bending elements, the four nations, the avatar state, and the war were all  unexplored things. This made A:TLA extremely exciting to watch, since you wanted to learn about those things.

In TLoK, they hint at some really cool stuff (lore and technologies) but they don't explore it. TLoK is still relativity new, so there is  a chance they might go deeper into certain things.

Ahh! I LOVED A:TLA so much as a kid. A few years after it ended, Netflix put the whole series up, and I rewatched it at least 3 times over again, haha.

LoK is still pretty good, and I'm happy that they're continuing the story, but since the series was meant to be a one-shot sorta deal, the creators (Mike and Bryan) didn't plan it out thoroughly during the first season. When they got such a good response, they then signed leases for the next 3 seasons (with approx. 12 episodes each). As most people, I prefer A:TLA. However, I am still being open-minded to Korra, too. With the new season, (not spoiling anything, of course) they're really making an effort to go deeper into the Avatar-verse and have more of a storyline rather than Korra simply beating the bad guy. (There was a TON of info and plot packed into the first 12 episodes, so hopefully they'll spread it out more and go into deeper understanding with it.)

BUT YEAH I JUST REALLY LOVE THESE SHOWS adsfghjklkgjdfdsgaf

I love both of them! :D

They've each got a different feel because they're about different avatars but I wouldn't say that I like one over the other.

To be honest Legend of Korra was great but why they have to reach the climax of the whole season so early Avatar the last air bender defiantly one of the best experiences with a show ever

A:TLA has amazing writing, and such believable characters. When I was younger, I even considered them friends of mine like I personally knew them.

The latest episode of LoK was one of the best of episodes in the whole season!

It just filled me with delight and wonder! I would go into more details but I don't want to spoil it!

I loved Avatar the Last Airbender, but I have not yet watched Legend of Korra. I keep getting mixed reviews from people on it.
Also, Zuko is awesome. Especially in the last three episodes or so.

I have watched the last airbender series at least 20 times, and the Korra, can be fun, but it can also be ddisappointing at times. The writers of Korra are just making it up as they go along... so I have mutual feelings about it.
And although Zuko is indeed awesome, Toph the evil melon lord, and first metal bender is way better. :fox-:P:

Toph is cool, but I'm a Zuko fan. I just really liked him, barring when he was being the stupid 'I'm mr Prince Zuko, evil dude gotta capture Aing.' That's why I liked the last few episodes when he was finally just himself.

i am a huge fan of both, but when i first heard about Korra i was kind of skeptical because the other spinoff show they were airing at the time (planet sheen) kinda discouraged me from all nick spinoffs but when i got into it i loved it, season two reamins my favorite

Same here :) I especially love the current season and am just dying to see Toph again! :lol-fox:

honestly season 4 hasent been what i expected, there's not much happening and im sorry but Kuvira isnt very treatening, however nothing can be donsidered good to me anymore because when they went all spiritual and made a dark avatar and she beat him it pretty much means she beat evil itself so nothing including Kuvira seems very threatening anymore

Actually Korra is going to end in a couple of weeks, and once she's gone all of avatar will be done,
