Go-Fast Driving Music List
« on: October 18, 2013, 12:36:22 am »
I take a lot of highway trips in my car, and listen to a lot of music in the process.  Satellite radio serves me well, but I often kick over to my MP3 player, since I know what's on it.  I figured I'd make a list of some of my favorite driving songs, and see what your favorites are :-)

Generally, I enjoy driving to anything upbeat, fast, and a big aggressive.  Not too angry, not too gentle, somewhere in the middle to get my heart racing along with my engine.  Everything in this list is awesome for this purpose, but the bold songs are my favorites, which I highly recommend checking out!

Aqua - Roses Are Red (Yay silly Europop!)
ATC - Around The World
Blink 182 - All The Small Things
Blink 182 - What's My Age Again?
Bob Mould - SoundOnSound (Another one I'll be impressed if any of you know!)
Bush - Machinehead (I seem to trigger the speed warning in my car a LOT while listening to this song...)
Bush - Come Down
DNA - Tom's Diner (Another that doesn't quite fit, but I can't stop listening to this one for some reason)
Eiffle 65 - Blue
Eve 6 - Inside Out
Everclear - Rockstar
Everclear - When It All Goes Wrong Again
Fountains Of Wayne - Stacy's Mom
Gavin Rossdale - Adrenaline
Goo Goo Dolls - Long Way Down
Good Charlotte - The Anthem
Green Day - When I Come Around
Lit - My Own Worst Enemy (The lyrics to this one really aren't my thing, but it's just so darn fun!)
Matchbox 20 - Girl Like That
Matchbox 20 - Real World
Mika - Lollipop (I actually bought the CD for this one :-D )
MxPx - Well Adjusted
Our Lady Peace - Starseed (I'll be impressed if anyone has heard of the band, let alone the song.  One of their earlier ones, and one of my all-time favorites!)
Puddle of Mudd - Blurry
Puddle of Mudd - Control
Rammstein - Du Hast
Rammstein - Feuer Frei
Rob Zombie - Dragula (I could just about listen to this on repeat while going 100mph :-D )
Tantric - Breakdown
Tatu - All The Things She Said (This doesn't quite fit this list, but I don't care, I've gotta have some lesbian rock in here :-) )
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue

We have a compilation track of various tracks including Passenger by Iggy Pop, Big Jet Plane by Angus & Julia Stone, Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Fast Car by Tracy Chapman which we all sing along to.  Mostly in tune, haha. Plus RUN v DMC, great track. :D
