Peabody and Sherman, 9.5/10

Holy hell this movie is great and all, but the plot development, I feel personally, is a little bit too rushed?

300: Rise of an Empire

Ok, I'm going to give this film a highly controversial 8/10. A lot of people didn't like this film and as much as I understand why - mostly because of the lack of story or historical accuracy, i don't understand why people don't over look these things (It's based on a graphic novel for heavens sake!). It wasn't trying to be a historically accurate masterpiece, it was trying (and succeeding in my opinion) to be a great action movie. I thought that the action was thoroughly enjoyable and well filmed.

However, the reason that I didn't give this film a 10 was that it should NOT have been a 15. You thought the first film was bad (which many people did but I didn't)? Times the gore by 5. Although blood and guts doesn't bother me, the fact that I have seen 18s with considerably less blood in them dod bother me somewhat.

Saw the newer Great Gatsby with my mother the other night.

8/10.

First off. The Great Gatsby is a fantastic novel. It goes down as one of my top ten favorite books of all time. I can't express how much I enjoyed reading it. This movie followed the book pretty well, and I say it did an outstanding job. All of the setting, the scenery, the symbolism.. they were expressed so well.  You could really tell that it was set in the roaring 20s. Where the rich were rich. And they didn't care what they did. I also love DiCaprio. I think he is an amazing actor. And he played Gatsby so well. Every actor was great.

"You could tell that it was set in the roaring 20s" --- Except for the music. Of course I'm bringing this up. This is the only reason the movie was not a perfect 10/10.  This movie's producer has made the same mistake in soundtrack in the past too, and he is hated for it. Sorry but autotune and rap never existed back then. Big bands, yes.

Still, some of the songs were actually really good despite being in the wrong time period. I can't say they are bad songs. If I listen to them outside of the movie, I would really enjoy them. And a few of them (The Lana Del Rey and The XX ones) fit pretty well.

Would watch again.

I have to admit Great Gatsby was a terrific film, though the book was such a godawful, boring read.

Well I mean, it is not intended to be an action novel of any sort. And you don't live in America, correct? It is pretty different as an American, and knowing a lot about American history rather than your side. Catching all the symbolism was nice though.

Whether or not I live in America is immaterial. Great Gatsby captured the spirit of the author's generation, and the film from the book was a masterpiece. Personally, I found F. Scott Fitzgerald's writing tedious, but the film brought his words to visual splendour of the Jazz Age in all of its decadence and excess.

The book isn't about the jazz age. It's about corruption.

Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

12/10! This is a great Tim Burton film! Though I will say that this movie gives new meaning to the term 'bloody good show, sir!'

Finally got around to seeing The Aristocats. Beautiful animation. A bit uneven pacing. I know it's a classic but I gotta give it 8.5 / 10. Still a great movie, though.

Movie: God's Not Dead
Scores (Out of 100 points):
      Story: 100
      Sound: 98
      Acting: 96
      Average: 98
Reasoning: The story was wonderful. It was so well plotted and well thought out. It was very realistic to modern times and stayed faithful to the plot. The sound was clear and vibrant but at some points, it felt rough and too quiet, and too loud at some points as well, ecspeacially Willie Robertson. The acting was pretty spot on. The only problem I saw was faking. Willie and Korie Robertson seemed too fake in their minor roles in the film. Overall, it was a great film and I'd reccomend it to all.

Would You Rather

It's kind of like Saw, only that it's much less brutal. The plot was quite predictable until the climax, where there is a plot twist, but the end wasn't surprising after that, not to mention that it's very depressing. More than the goryness itself, this movie likes to play more on your emotions, but it doesn't do a very good job most of the time.

7/10
Good, but wouldn't watch again

Just watched The Fantastic Mr. Fox. Great movie. Funny, interesting animation, and though the pacing was a bit strange (I thought that it was almost over halfway through; the main problem came on really early) it still felt natural. A nice movie to just watch with friends while eating popcorn. Maybe while in a fursuit. 9.5/10

Hobo With A Shotgun.

Uh... 4/10   It's a great movie if you're into stylized murder. Which I'm not. But there were insanely hilarious scenes.

It's a really good movie if you're into stylized murder. Like a woman's neck being sawed open and ... it's like rated R++++ ....

The skate rape scene is still the best.
