The Voices.
Wow. What a movie.

So it's a "dark comedy" about a guy who becomes a serial killer in reaction to the voices in his head, which take the physical embodiment of his pets. Good idea. So how does it work? Not very well.

Firstly, it's pretty far from comedy. It may be funny to some, but not to me. Either it tried way too hard to be funny and hit the "wtf, over the top" mark, or it was almost funny and hit "uncomfortably disturbing" instead. So no, not a comedy. I would classify it more along the lines of a thriller, though I'm not sure it fits soundly into any one category. But if you look at it for what it is, it's a really interesting sort of physiological study into the world of a schizophrenic. It wasn't poorly done at all, and it kept me engaged for the entire movie. Ryan Reynolds and Anna Kendrick were especially good, and the story was really well told.

Bottom line, I give it 4/10.
Good movie, but don't expect a comedy like they say it is. It's grisly and uncomfortable, and this from a guy who loved watching Dexter. (Which, by the way, is closer to comedy than The Voices is. Not kidding.)

I might be a bit rough there, lol. I honestly think the movie itself was good. But when it comes to movies, misleading marketing really ruins the experience for me.

I'm trying to be rougher with my reviews anyway. There's literally no movie I hate. Even bad ones, I enjoy how bad they are, and I'll end up giving a better score than I probably should.

Helter Skelter (2004) - 9/10
The plot of the movie is very dark if you are familiar with Charles Manson. It is able to show all of the different sides of the story while having very captivating actors that is able to convey there real life counter parts. Jeremy Davis, the actor that plays Manson, is absolutely amazing in his role. You can learn so much from Charles just by watching him move and talk like him. The script and shots in the movie are amazing. Almost all of the shots are on the rule of thirds, which bothers me when a movie breaks that rule for what ever reason, and the murder sequences have a lot of emotion in which you can feel what it was like to be Linda Kasabain and to see all of the gruesome disgusting things that the cult did. At night when the movie would show what happened during the Manson family's "Creepy Crawly" sessions is absolutely bone chilling! Scenery was great as well they was able to recreate a set to look like the Spahn Ranch.
Sorry for posting this, I loved the movie and wanted to write a review about it. The movie is dark while everyone is posting about Zootopia Im talking about Charles Manson.

Dr. Strangelove - 9/10

Although it's an old movie, it's retained a nice sort of charm! It had wonderful dialogue and amazing special effects for the time! We watched it for English class, so we had to analyze all the symbolism in it... XP
But it was a great movie with an interesting plot and dark humor!  :fox-:P:

In theaters:
Batman v Superman: 3/10
I love Batman, so I wanted to like it. Idk, I couldn't help but find it really boring. I miss the Dark Knight trilogy :/
Overall last movie I saw:
A Beautiful Mind: 8/10
Great movie, great acting from Russell Crowe. It really made you feel what it must be like to have schizophrenia.

Just finished the new  Captain America movie. I'd give it 9/10. It kinda took forever to actually see what was happening. It's also a bit long for my liking. The movie is approximately 2 hours and 28 mins long. I really don't care for the ending much but i'd say what really set this movie off was the fight scene between the heroes.

Hotel Transylvania 2 5/10

I really wanted to see this since I loved the first one but it ended up being a huge dissapointment. I feel like it lost all of the cool-monster-world feel and focused way too much on pop culture stuff (such as phones, modern music, the monsters being "famous" etc. The moral of "accepting everyone regardless of how they're born" was great but other than that it was pretty bad

Two reasons: 1. I'm a furry, of course I liked it 2. The kid who played Mowgli looks EXACTLY like one of my best friends. I can show a picture later.
