Kubo and the two strings 9/10
Great movie! I loved the action and all the characters and the story was interesting. I wasn't too fond of the way it ended, but good nonetheless.

Lion- Touching, incredible true story that was well made, gave a great insight into how many people have to live. Moved a little slowly at times. 9/10

Monster House 1/10
This was one of my favourite movies as a kid but it's terrible. I saw it on Netflix and I was going to rewatch it for the nostalgia but it was too bad I turned if off halfway through. The story was bad, the character are bad, the animation is bad. Would not recommend

Grumpy Old Men 1/10
I was forced to watch this with family because they claimed it was a "classic."
Yeah, sure. If it's such a classic how come I haven't heard of it until now? Honestly nothing tickled my funny bone. Slapstick and three-stooges type of humor just doesn't get to me. It has a 65% rating on Rotten Tomatoes though so maybe there's something I'm just not getting?? Idk
In conclusion, this "comedy" was a bore.

Ghostwatch 6/10
Only scary in the last 18 minutes, the rest was all boring exposition dump. The scary parts were pretty decent though. Could've ended better maybe

Alien: Covenant

Just saw it yesterday in the cinema. I'd recommend it. It's a significant improvement over Prometheus. It still has the philosophical elements of Prometheus, but it's a lot more coherent. The lore behind the Alien series is actually quite interesting. Plus this one actually has Xenomorphs in it. And they're scary!

Michael Fassbender steals the show with his performance as the androids, David 8 and Walter. It was one of the highlights of the movie.

The only major issue I had with the film is that it's hard to get if you haven't watched Prometheous. And some of the stock horror tropes are a bit lame. But otherwise it's a really good film. It stands out as one of the better Alien movies, along with the original and Aliens.

Midnight in Paris - 6.5/10

I don't know, I just wasn't impressed. I didn't like the acting, most of the characters were slightly (sometimes more than slightly) annoying, and the main character keeps on travelling back in time without an explanation? I know it's not supposed to be realistic (though I went into it with no knowledge of the plot and expecting a realistic historical fiction or something, which might be part of why I'm disappointed), but the guy just gets in a car at midnight every night and is magically transported to the 1920s (where he then chances upon Ernest Hemingway, Cole Porter, Pablo Picasso, Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald, Salvador Dali, Gertrude Stein, etc.). And then (spoiler) near the end, gets on a horse and carriage when he's in the '20s and travels back in time yet again to Belle Époque France. The movie never offers any explanation for the plot, it just kind of ... happens. It's an alright movie for what it is, just not my cup of tea.

Captain Underpants movie

4/10

It was ok, rather horrendous at first and the fight scenes looked boring-The ending was no joke better than the actual movie itself

Just felt like I watched an extended trailer, I was disappointed to be honest-Despite trying to follow the story of the books it just wasn't the same..Didn't feel like a Captain Underpants movie

Batman (the Tim Burton one) 4/10
I'm rather surprised and feel bad to say this since its considered such a classic but I wasn't really into it. Idk why, I just like the other Batman films better? I think the problem definitely has to be that I just didn't feel connected to Batman as a character compared to his appearances in other movies. He actually didn't get a lot of screen time compared to the Joker and that one blonde girl, and I didn't feel like we really got a glimpse into his thoughts and how he was feeling (except for the flashback of his parents' deaths) also Michael Keaton just did NOT make a good Batman..seriously, this movie felt more like it was about the Joker rather than Batman. But I will give some kudos to Jack Nicholson, who made a good Joker (didn't look the part though) and the movie had some pretty nice creepy imagery here and there. But it's not saying much.

Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker 8/10
Actually a pretty good movie??? Dang. In general it's pretty decent but there's this one flashback scene which was just FANTASTICALLY written and sold the movie. I could explain, but a certain critic on the internet already described how I felt about it in a YouTube video. (Go check out Nostalgia Critic's "Is This Tbe Best Joker Death?" video!) Either way I was surprised with how dark and well written this flick was, I do NOT regret watching, this is a good recommendation to a Batman fans.

Pirates of the Caribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales 5/10
I saw this a week ago but I've been wanting to do a review on it :fox-:P:
*SPOILERS*
It was a horrible movie but it sure wasn't great either. Mostly things just annoyed me. It was supossed to be an orgin story(?) plus a continuation of the original trilogy(?) but it failed at both. Much like the fourth movie the only main characters that were from the original were Jack and Barborossa as Will and Elizebeth played such a minor role they might as well have not been there. It was also not a continuation of the fourth movie like I was expecting, it was if that one never existed and they didn't use any of the characters. It felt like they were just grabbing at things. If the villain was so horrible and Jacks biggest fear or whatever why wasn't he mentioned before. There was other stuff too that just messed up the original trilogy (such as will going evil). They honestly should have ended it after the original trilogy. As much as I liked the fourth one it was kinda pointless since they're ignoring it now

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. 5/5 Stars. The single movie that can be called number one family movie. No expense was spared to give the movie some of the best sets of it's time as well as special effects. R.I.P. Gene Wilder.
