Have a doodle

I tried making her look cross legged but it looks weird.
Trying to do backgrounds more, still not looking good but this was a doodle anyway.

I'm making myself a wallpaper, and I'm trying a different perspective thing and its hard(obviously) its in the sketching stage right now but I needs crits. God please critique this thing, I want it to look as good as I can so this will be a project that takes more than a couple days.

Heres Matthew, a new character to go along with Cassandra. I don't have much of a personality for him yet.
He's a femboy, but mostly just in looks. He also straight, Cassandra's older brother and thats about all I have right now.

By the way costume wear is basically just custom clothes. Something you normally don't see on the streets so I just called it costume wear.

Lets start a Riot!
Heres my newest pic, trying some new things and kinda finalizing Riots new design.

I love how this turned out, spent probably 6 hours on it. Although I couldve done better on the nose and mouth, and the teeth and ears still look flat to me. Painting is fun though, but it is tiring, especially when your suffering from artblock.

Some constructive criticism would be highly appreciated.^^

you're*

Lmfao ok anyway

The left eye is tilted too high. Try drawing a circle as the base of the head, and draw a curved line following the circle from the bottom of the right eye and you'll see what U mean. I l o v e the definition of the hair and the bottom right of the face, but the other parts lack such defining contrast, rendering the rest of the painting underwhelming. Quite the accurate shadow placement, but do note that the hair as a whole, too, is subject to shadows cast on them collectively. Good job, keep it up!

Thank you, I will definitely improve on that as I've noticed when it was done.^^

Here's my new icon close up, anatomy's a bit off and I didn't pay much attention to the shading because it was suppose to be a sketch but got carried away with the eyes. I love the eyes^^

and here's my most recent work, just messing with some shading. I think the shadows are too dark or I should have kept the black lighter to show the shading better. I always liked the shading some artist do that look smooth and like 3D models so I tried to make it look smooth and a bit more realistic placement. Just experimental, ignore the ugly foot and hair.

I must say, your darks are always very dark..... For a lot of the shadows its very close to being black. It's a nice contrast, but it's almost too much contrast.

Except for a few where the shading isn't so dark or there is no shading at all. :fox-:P:
Also, these last two pictures are creepy as hell to me. I think it's the tounge and sharp teeth. Kind of demonic because the shades are so dark. On the last picture I can't tell where the light is coming from; maybe the top? But if it is, the hair and the ears are going to have some highlights, right?

I'm trying something more active looking and this is something I've been wanting to do.
I want the pose to look at least close to perfect, I'm not very good with male anatomy let alone action poses so critique highly appreciated^^

Rip it apart please(except the frisbee, its just a place holder):D

Oh and have this human version of Riot, messing around with lines and cell shading. I've been having fun doodling her as a human^^

The width of the body should be around the size of the head, the length of the body is too short, arms are relatively short when considering that the upper arm should be the cumulative length of the head and neck, legs' relative sizes are OK, but the left foot (relative to viewer) is placed too high, too small compared to the right (it's actually supposed to be slightly larger due to it being closer to the viewer), and its comparative lack of definition makes it stand out unnecessarily.  The left hand is also way too small, too.

Good job as usual though with lovely detailing and an otherwise anatomically-correct subject. Also 10/10 dank frisbee. :^)

Thank you for the critique^^ Hows this?

I'm glad the anatomy is good since I rarely draw males^^ Maybe its the character creation systems on the games I play :P

Use of foreshortening here is awesome! That hand: on point.  :lock:

Anyway.
While the foreshortening is good, I'm not exactly sure why it's foreshortened at all. The leg makes sense to be foreshortened but the hand, well not so much in the way it is. The arm is coming directly at the viewer, so you might get away with making it bigger. But there's something missing to the hand. It's not super large so I think the elbow would have to "pop out," so to speak. Maybe the elbow on sticking out a little to the left of the left hand, relative to the viewer.

The use of foreshortening on the leg is great, but it looks a little deformed. Since the back foot is so long, you need to match the length. Do this by thinning out the bottom of the foot as it gets farther away. The closer an object is to the front of the page, the more exaggerated the distances between forwards and backwards will be.

But great work as always! Can't wait to see more!
