Songs that surprised you

Is there that one artist that usually sucks in your opinion, but then they have that one song that you're just like "Huh... not bad"? I know a few songs like that, one of which is "The Harold Song" by Ke$ha. I like none of her songs but I really love that song, it has a ton of emotion put into it. (There's a deconstructed version, too. Personally I prefer the original)
Another would be Far Away by Nickelback. Lol I've always liked that song.

Ed Alleyne Johnson playing his purple electric violin was quite the revelation.

Falling in Reverse: Raised by Wolves

I remember when I used to like FiR, but Ronnie is a douche and has made me stop listening to his band.

I never liked Attack Attack! until they put Caleb Shomo as their lead vocalist. When I heard the Deluxe Re-Issue of their Self-Titled album, I was blown away. Then I heard This Means War and I fell in love with Attack Attack! which they sadly broke up shortly after. (Well they lost all but 2 original members and changed their name to Nativ.)

I now follow Caleb's project, Beartooth, which is now more than just a project as Beartooth has an album set for release in June!

The rap artist Drake, I kind of don't like because I don't like rap or hip hop or pop. He was on SNL a couple nights ago and had some funny black+jewish song he did and it was a parody of one of his own songs too.

Honestly there's so many musicians I hate that end up going on that show and afterwards I love them. They find a way to make fun of themselves and then laugh about it.
