Fursona species conversion?
« on: July 13, 2014, 11:00:14 pm »
I'm super unsure if this topic has been done or not, but I haven't seen one in the first few pages ahh

'Cuse me if I'm wrong.

___________

I'm curious about those of you who have fursonas.  Have you ever "converted" to a different species or thought about it?  If so, what did you change your species to, or what did you want to change it to?
This also includes significant physical changes, added species characteristics, lack of such; anything about your fursona species and its change.

Personally, I started as a Small Asian Mongoose but have converted to a Sun Bear.  It's much more fitting, imo.

I went from dragon to wolf/dragon hybrid to just wolf.  Somewhere along the way my sona lost the ability to use magic, and switched from a medieval period to modern days.

Been a collie for the 5-6 years I've been in the fandom. Never changing.  Actually I may, just to specify, because my fursona is based off my dog. And he is a chow/collie mix. So I might just say he's part chow too rather than being "Jethro Collie" on all the things I do.

I see no need to change my character. I like him and he's developed a personality or whatever.

I've done this so many times it's pathetic

But before I had Capt. as a caiman, she was a canine hybrid of everything.

Actually Aerobolt used to be a folf because I couldn't decide what I liked more, wolves or foxes. But two things made me change him to a fox. I decided I liked foxes more and... him being a fox would help out with the book I wrote (that I was still planning at the time). That and I kept his fur coloring and called him Shadow Vulpine to make things more interesting...

My fursona used to be a husky but I didn't really connect to her she I changed to a fairy, dragon, wolf hybrid, the different species represents different characteristics and parts of me. I connect to Solstice way more than I did to my first fursona so I'm happy I changed

I guess I converted from wolf to cow. My first fursona was a wolf named Misty, who I used as my fursona for three years. Then for about a year I stopped using any fursona, until I get into the furry fandom and decided to make a new sona, which was a cow, because at the time I was super into cows and bulls.

My first ever OC was a cat because I was super into the Warriors series as a child, so I stuck with having a cat or sand cat as my main character until about a year ago. I realized I liked drawing opossums more, so I made my main character into one.
I ended up buying Cleo's fursuit secondhand because I thought she was cute. I didn't really have much of a choice then, my 'sona was now a corgi.
As for the whole moth thing, my friend just said "hey, I want to see more moth fursonas," so it's really not that exciting.

Well Dolly used to be a dalmatian, but I decided that drawing the large amount of spots every time was too much work, and I liked the coat patterns of Great Danes more, tho i still have to draw a lot of markings. I also liked the anatomy/build of Great Danes more, long legs and square muzzles looked cool. It was mostly a change I made for aesthetics, but I think of her as more chill now, kind of like the gentle giant stereotype Great Danes have.

Ohh boi. I've been through so many sona species--

My first actual fursona was a cabbit (cat/rabbit)
Then it was a few cats
Dogs and I'm sure a wolf at one point
Big cats (sabercats, tigers)
A few Foxes
And others I can't remember.

My last sona was a snow leopard before I moved onto a sloth after making Avery. I'm happy with my sloth for now c':

Oh boy this post is old (from my second day on the forum to be exact).

Solstice didn't represent me well either, I'm nothing like a wolf which was her primary species. My fursona is now a cow, I spent a long time picking a species that fit me and on her design. I really like her and she represents me a lot better than Solstice so I intend to stick with her

I've always been a jackalope, or since I've been officially in the fandom at least.  Shope's species holds a lot of personal meaning for me, however goofy it may be. XD I might explain it in more detail one day, I dunno.

I used to be all about canines
Now that I'm older I don't like them as much
I've tried having more canine fursonas but I never click with them.
Right now I feel more connected to house cats and hooved animals

Went from red wolf, to tabby-cat, and then added a winged foxdog alongside that tabby-cat.

My fursona has always been a fennec fox, although she looks much different now than before.

I'm thinking about making my fursona into a hybrid though  :fox-:P:

My friend had a dog-fursona, which she changed into a dragon dog hybrid, and now she's going to turn it into a pomsky (it's a cute breed of dog) dragon hybrid.
