I didn't know you played double-pedal. :o

I got one for Christmas :D

I'm addicted to it, although, I'm still perfecting my technique. I'm not a fan of huge blast beats either, so you won't hear that from me. Now, I just need some Octobans, and I'll be complete :)

Had a listen to the song you were doing, and considering you've had them just around a month that's pretty impressive. Seriously Schism, really good work on that.

Thanks :D
I have the opening, first, and second verse down. I need more work with the beat before, and during the guitar/keyboard solo. Then, it'll be all done :D

I only learn songs now cause it gives me good technical practice and ideas for licks when I improv. :fox-;):

I'm learning the rendition Paganini's 5th Caprice by Steve Vai (although I think Ry Cooder played it) for arpeggio practice.  Its the ending part in the movie "Crossroads".  Wicked guitar duel at the end.  AWESOME GUITAR DUEL (The part is at like 7:20)

I'm also learning Racer X's Technical Difficulties.  This REALLY helps with my speed picking.  I got the intro and breakdown finished, now to conquer the solo!! :fox-;):

I recently finished (recently as in 1 month ago) One by Metallica.  Not much practice in that one though...more like a guilty pleasure, but its just so epic. :lol-fox:

Korobeiniki

... AKA Tetris Theme A.

Fetch me a pot
For the soup has grown cold
And I fear our guest may not like it...

That's as far as I've gotten. I love it on piano, but it's harsh due to the bass being so drastically different from the treble.

EDIT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korobeiniki#Lyrics

Actually, that's rather odd... I had always thought those were the actual English lyrics - I had a friend who used to sing them sometimes when I was younger. I'll have to figure out where they came from, now.

it's not really a song, per se, but the violin for Paganini's 24th Caprice, & I'm getting it worked out for guitar.  It's a good workout for a metalhead, trying some different stuff.

"Jump from the hook, you're not obliged to swallow anything you despise"

My favorite song from The Shins  :lol-fox:  I remember doing a cover of this like 3 years ago.

Anywho, I'm just about done with "Technical Difficulties" so now I'm learning "Scarified".  Only a bit harder  :fox-:P:
I'm also re-learning my mixolydian scales.
