Preludio de Adios.  I cant remember who it's by, but it's awesome-sounding.  Still haven't memorized it completely, but I can play it through with just a few glances at the tabs.

That's why improv trumps all.

But it's important to remember that learning different solos will help develop different techniques and get used to different styles of music. 

Like if you want to practice using harmonic minor scales, baroque style music, and speed picking, you would try to learn a Yngwie Malmsteen song or solo.

I'm just not a fan of all that "Steve Vai" stuff...it just sounds like masturbation. A decent solo should be all about the heart and not the notes.

This is why musicians like Jack White and Kurt Cobain, are better soloists than ones like Malmsteen and Vai....when Cobain played a solo, you felt the emotion in the notes. Out of tune, out of time, whatever, it was the soul that mattered.
