Very Confusing Math Stuff
« on: September 07, 2015, 11:40:16 pm »
So I'm usually pretty good with math stuff but I've been doing work non stop for hours and now I'm just totally blanking and freaking out. I know it's super late and the math I have is super annoying but any ideas?

Probably will add more questions in a bit.

Not awake enough to attempt anything in #3 (I would be freaking out too), but here are some things that might help with the others. I'll edit if I find anything else.

5 & 6 - Log Rules

15 - Polynomial Long Division

For the first set of exercises, I'd say that they want you to rewrite the expressions so that they're on the same level, so to speak. Example: The answer for a) would be 8 a^6 b^-3. That's my best guess. You can also get some factorizing there to make the expressions simpler.

For the other two, I'm sorry, but I can't help ^^" Logarithms have always been my weakness

Oh yeah, that's great advice (actually helped me figure it out)! The c ap bq thing really makes it confusing, but c is just a constant and p and q are just the exponents attached to a and b (respectively). I believe 3a is 8a6b-1 though, since the b on the bottom of the original fraction is not cubed.
