I have a guinea pig, and I don't trim her nails often enough. This is mostly because she moves around so much, and she hates it, so it's difficult and I feel bad for her. The only problem is that I'm sure she suffers more from having nails that are too long.
Any advice? What I usually do, is have my mom pick the guinea up in a towel, and hold her up slightly so I have ok access to her nails. Then I just try to go quickly, which is actually pretty slow since I'm paranoid of cutting her veins.
Tips? Tricks? I don't suppose there is anywhere I could take her to have them trimmed for relatively cheap? It would probably freak her out more to be driven somewhere than just to have me trim her nails at home, though.
