Reviving FTR!
« on: October 26, 2015, 12:56:52 pm »
Alrighty guys, I've decided to get FTR running again. I hope that this time we can actually succeed ^-^ Maybe I'm being a bit too optimistic, but with enough dedication I think we can do this!

I'm going to start working on an episode immediately, so if anyone has any suggestions/requests/concerns, feel free to let me know!

A few things I'd like to ask here.

First of all, what sort of content are you considering?
Second, how are you going to distribute?
And finally, do you need help?

How about doing a weekly rundown of the site every Saturday evening? Since I'm free pretty much every day from 10am - 2:35pm and then from 8pm - 2am (est) I could help you with anything

Right now, my goal is to both entertain and inform other users of FT. I'm going to do reviews of furry themed literature and art, updates on the site, interviews with older members, and news about the furry fandom in general.

I've looked into a few websites that let you upload podcasts and such. I'm thinking of asking Lance or Natasha about this one though.  :fox-:P:
Help is always appreciated! I'm going to need people who can edit and research interesting topics for the show, as well as some furs to co-host. I also want to get a cool logo made for the show. (I'm thinking of using a few visuals instead of forcing viewers to stare at a black screen) Feel free to PM me anytime!

Oh and to answer your question Krowdon, I PM'ed Lance and Natasha and they said it was fine.

I do my own podcast and run my college's radio station so I can help out if you want. One of the reasons most projects like this fail it that at the start, everyone has lots to talk about but after a few episodes/broadcasts, people don't know what else to talk about so the shows become stale. So make sure you have plenty of things planned and ready in advance for each of the broadcasts. Also, from listening to the old FT radio I think it needs to be a little more structure, things didn't really seem that well though out and ordered. Either way I think it will be great to get this going again! I use podomatic, you get 500MB of free space and you can pay to get more.

How often are you planning to do the shows?

You seem pretty knowledgeable on this subject :3 I'm planning to upload once a month, I know this doesn't sound like a lot but I want to start off slow and not make any promises I can't keep. I'd love to get some more advice though!

One thing to do would be to set up or revive a suggestions thread and/or an email.
Another thing (in light of recent events) would be to set up a complaints email in case something discussed touches a nerve - obviously not on purpose - so we can avoid those subjects in the future.
