How to thrust anxiety on to your mind in .03 seconds

1. Be me
2. Have a friend who makes a post asking "What is life?" during one of their existential crises
3. Respond with "Not to make your situation right now even worse, but life is kinda just a pointless thing we all live through. Humans try their best to add meaning to life, but we're really not very important. There's been billions of humans throughout history, and what percent of them actually get remembered? Even with the remembered ones, with all their contributions to human progress, what will it all matter in the end when the sun explodes or we get sucked up by a black hole? We'll be dead and gone, with nothing in the universe to remember us ever being there."

Doesn't mean you should kill yourself, though, just sayin'

Another thing to bring into consideration, however, is that I don't really have any religious beliefs. My thinking might be different from someone who has a religious affiliation.

Also, question for you all, what are your philosophical beliefs as far as the meaning of life goes? I found a helpful guide to some of the different beliefs:

I don't  think the sun is big enough to form a black hole. Also, by then we would have either already died out, or found a way to get to a new habitable planet. As from your picture, I am totally a subjectivist.

♪ How do I say goodbye to what we had? The good times that made us laugh, outweigh the bad. I thought we'd get to see forever, but forever's gone away. It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday♪

That's true, but the point is when we die out as a species and our planet/solar system is (eventually) destroyed, there will be basically nothing to remember each of our individual existences.

Okay, NONE of you have been making Philosophical comments, so I must.

We are all special snowflakes, but as we decend, we melt into ordinary raindrops, never to hold individuality again, as we rush down the gutters.

If you have a problem, you can either run or face it
but sometimes, you must try to run, because you never knew what's behind that problem.
   Problem chain exists.

Life is easy, but the hardest part is surviving.

Fear is an interesting emotion, and has it's purpose, a form of mental armor.
Fear I get, but what is the purpose of the sub-emotion of fear, worrying? If you worry about something, and it comes true, you've suffered twice, and if it doesn't come true, you've suffered for no reason. Not to mention that in a threatening situation, worrying will only hurt your chances of survival, for it takes away brain power that you SHOULD be using to figure out how to fix/escape, and survive said situation.
