Art tablet pressure problem
« on: November 30, 2015, 07:00:43 pm »
I want to start using the pen pressure settings on my tablet in hopes it'll help me improve
My pen pressure is on on my art program (FireAlpaca) but when I draw it doesn't work. I checked the little tablet icon that hovers on the side and it only had handwriting settings.
What do I do?
I have a wacom intuos tablet

I have a Cintiq which is also made by Wacom so this might work for you too?
In the bar where you search programs and files type in Services and scroll down until you get to Wacom Professional Service and restart it and your drawing programs, when you boot it back up the pen pressure should be there!

Sometimes, when I try using FireAlpaca, the pen pressure won't work. I usually fix that closing FireAlpaca and then opening it again. If it still doesn't work after that, I try restarting the drivers using Services (if you look for it in Control Panel it should show up. It's under Administrative tools). There, you gotta look for Wacom Professional Service and then right click on it and choose restart (Alternatively, select it and then press the pause/play icon on top of the window).

If the pen pressure still doesn't work, try installing one of Wacom's older drivers, to see if you have better luck with one of those

Mine does this every now and then and all I do is just turn off my whole computer and the turn it back on. Only way I seem to get it to work agian. I don't use FireAlpaca though.

This is for when the pen pressure randomly stops working, so you don't have to go through the struggle of restarting.
