it looks like a god-damn cyclops.

It does a bit, but you did a good job still!

Maybe next time draw a bit bigger if you're going to draw the eyes small so they don't look like they are one

Hey, that's pretty good so far. You did a great job with the body. Just remember to keep practicing. Skill takes time. It doesn't happen overnight. :3 Just keep drawing! :)

Casual little bit of advice I want to share that works for me. If you're going for a theme, immerse yourself in it. My UBW piece was drawn immersing myself as deeply in the theme and character as I could and it is easily the one art piece I am most proud of because I think it really captured UBW (so that's not too easy if you're doing an original piece rather than fan art but you know, the basic theme immersion thing is pretty easy to do with the right songs, movies and stories to really help form what you want that little slice of the world to look like) Ah, sorry if it seems like I'm attention grabbing I tend to ramble off a little.
Off the advice thing now.
You're art's pretty good. I like it.

Heres some basics: Simply practice and draw alot. Practicing alot is the way to learn.  Start slowly then progress further as you get better.
Use things like drawing reference or such to help practice your body & head anatomy. There is many tutorials online on how to draw various parts that can help, just look on DA and such. Don't copy them tho, just base yourself on them and learn from them, and eventually, you will do it by yourself without the help of a reference.

Another thing about references, usually when i draw sometimes, i start by drawing a skeleton to reference what pose or way my character will be, so i understand the height and position of every part. What is it you may ask? To put it simply, imagine a dummy posing for your character, and you gradiually erase, add details like the face, body shapes, etc, etc, and put the rest over him, fleshing him out, depending on your idea. (heres a idea if you cant understand what i mean : http://figuredrawingchallenge.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2014/06/figure-drawing-challenge-week12.jpg) It's a good practice to take when drawing a full character or such, but i guess it depends on the person.

Dont be afraid of feeling disappointed if your drawing looks odd, it's quite normal the first time that your drawing kinda is so so. Be sure to see/accept criticism sometimes if possible and take that as a note to ameliorate yourself with ;)

Just do it over and over, and eventually you'll get the hang of it. ;)

It's pretty good.
If you want any help with doing fur, my advice is curved triangles work wonders.
Other than that, yeah, good job, looks good.
