Good alternatives to OBS
« on: February 17, 2016, 05:53:12 pm »
My computer is too old to run OBS (open broadcast software)
I have an Acer aspire 7741 and it says my graphics card is too old but I'm too poor to buy a new one. So if anyone knows any good alternatives than that would be great, extra points if it works on older computers and windows 7

I am not sure you should even be trying to stream if you can't even run OBS. There is basically no other streaming software that is less power intensive as OBS, xSplit may be a competitor but it will likely have the same issues that OBS does.

Ditto. OBS is kinda the baseline for streaming/recording requirements. I wouldn't try it without at a dedicated graphics card at least.

If you do have a computer that meets the requirements, I've actually found that I prefer Nvidia's Shadowplay to OBS. I don't really stream though, I record stuff and edit it later. If I were to do live streaming, I'd stick with OBS just because of it's configurability.
