Yep, definitely. cx I've always identified with cats the most, and they're my favorite animal.

I chose an ocelot because they suit me. I like those animals and ther lifestyle is like mine. They hunt at night, they are lazy the whole day and they are loners. There was no better animal to choose for my fursona than an ocelot^^

Yes, actually...?

Deer are stereotypically timid, quiet and quick to flee- that's me.

Idk, kinda! I mean, according to some Native American mythos, lynx can read minds, and last time I checked, I couldn't do that...  :sad-fox:

But lynxes make little barky sounds, and every once in a while I make weird little noises, so I guess that works! ^u^

I feel that the Red Panda fits me very well. I have many of the mannerisms and characteristics that a Red Panda carries.

The only tthing that matches my personality as good as a dog, is a dragon, and I just didn't want to do a dragon. I may have the soul and Zodiac of a Dragon, but when was the last time a lung dragon sat on YOUR lap and showered you with affection?  never, it didn't happen.

Probably not. I like bats a lot and I wish I could fly, but I don't think I really act like one. I think a Border Collie or something would fit me more, but I like bats. Plus there aren't as many bat fursonas.

Probably not but tbh I don't know much about spiders anyway, being a spider just feels right >u< I think a cat would represent me so much better, I have a feline alt sona but she's just used for when I'm bored of being a spider or when I can't get art of my main sona(cause everybody can draw cats!)

Sort of I guess? Recently made my main fursona a sheepy. Thought it was kind of fitting since I'm sort of a skittish vegetarian. And I kind of stylized my lamb after how I how I looked as a little kid, complete with the light curly hair. Even now my hair is course and wavy, but much darker. Sometimes makes me think of wool. :)

Although honestly, I don't think sheep fit me behaviour-wise. Don't really tend to 'flock' like sheep do, and socializing is really hard for me. I'd honestly say a goat would suit me more in that respect seeing as they're more solitary than sheep. I should definitely do something with some of my goat OCs. :happy-deer:

Personally, I think it's more important to find a species that you like, rather than one that "suits you."
I just like to reprsent myself as animals that I really like these days. Like hoofers and birds. x)

I would say that yes, it does. I chose my fursona based on animals that I felt represented me. I decided on a fennec fox because they like to live in large groups and are family oriented. Red foxes for the same reason. I chose red pandas because they're more docile, and they like to be alone sometimes.

Honestly, it's hard to say, I know for a fact I didn't exactly pick Red Fox for my fursona so much for the fact that the animal represented me so much as it was for the love of the species. From Tod from the Fox and the Hound to Tails from Sonic X and Robin Hood from Disneys Robin Hood, Anthropomorphic Fox characters have played an important role in my childhood and upbringing. And now after years of identifying with the animal it just seems hard to identify with any other animal therefore, it was a natural choice for my Fursona.

In realizing I got carried away by the Salsa chat and never actually answered the question, I share something of similar mentality with Red foxes in regards to family ties and pack mentality but outside of that it's difficult to say. Sometimes I can be something of a trickster or deceiver but generally, I am straight forward and try not influence others or play games with their trust. So in the long run there are some similarities but they are too few in number to say the species really represents me.

I think foxes kinda represent me, so yes and no.
Half of why I picked a fox was because they're so cute and fluffy  :fox-:P:
The other half was because they're smart, cunning, and agile

woot woot reviving old topic

Now that I have a species, I can safely say that I picked a bat to represent me because it does match my personality, and I feel comfortable with using it for a fursona. I feel like I have a "connection" to it, and I feel that it just fits me overall.

(I'm actually currently unable to settle on either a rat or bat, but both of them fit me personality-wise so it doesn't really matter)

I'd say so...at least to an extent. Moose are big, awkward-looking creatures that like cold weather and get mad when you get in their business. I'm a big, awkward-looking creature that likes cold weather and gets mad when people (at least when they're uninvited) get in my business.
