Sorry I know second post in less two minutes but I had a few questions I wanted to start up. If this thread already exists, mods please merge it or something :) .I wanted to know what is the most important lesson you've learned in your life?

For me I've learned that you can't live your life in fear or you will never get anywhere, I know it's been said a million times, but it's true. This has helped me a lot, it feels awful, to me anyway, when you feel like you can't say something because of fear of rejection or judgement. I learned that not everyone plays as big of a role in your life as you may think. It's definitley helping me through highschool. Think about you are only going to know these people your surrounded by for 4 or less years of your life then you go to college and may never see these people again! So why worry about what they think about you or why should you fear their thoughts. Four years isn't a long time really. So sorry for rambling, but this is the most important lesson for me. What's yours?

"The most important lesson, is the lesson to come."
- A mongoose that's Selous'
May 1, 2016... Maybe if it hasn't been quoted already.
But honestly, I don't think I have learned the most important lesson in my life yet. I feel that all lessons have value, and maybe there doesn't have to be one that you consider theost important. The lessons I usually put a lot of value in, are the ones I realise myself in which I turn in to quotes.

"People don't change, perspectives do."
- October 8, 2014

"Everything that is, is the result of something that was."
- Unknown date (May, 2015?)
This one isn't necessarily true, and is a little cryptic, but the message behind it is a nicer way of saying cause and effect. How everything was resulted from long chains of events in space and time. Meaning that there is reasoning for everything, but maybe we have to look back further, or have a deeper understanding. Anyways, most of these only make sense to me really, and I'm not good at explaining.

"Any percent is 100% if you try enough times."
- April 27, 2016

"Do not argue over what is what, instead understand what what is."
- Date unknown.

Now, I don't usually recall lessons ever, but I feel that subconsciously, these words affect me. And of course, more lessons to come  :fox-:):

There are some many unbelievably important things I have learned in life I would be nearly impossible to single any one single lesson as the most important, nearly, though, not wholly impossible.

If I absolute had to choose I would say the most important thing I have ever learned is the single revelation that enabled all others, something that has been a force of unrivaled change in my life. The most important thing I have learned is the power and application of Introspection. Without intense sessions of Introspection and self-studies into the inner workings of the Human Psyche, I wouldn't be where I am today or who I am today.  It such an instrumental tool in learning about the world and shaping who I am that I would forgo that discovery for any worldly treasure for it is a gift of knowledge more valuable than all the material wealth of the world combined and one I shan't ever forget.

Anyone who doesn't respect you, your identity or your interests isn't worth you time.

I had a "friend" who I met online who didn't really want to be my friend a year and a half ago. All she wanted to do was change me and manipulate me because she didn't respect my interests or identity and I wish I had figured out sooner that she wasn't worth shit. It was a good lesson to learn though as I know now that's it's better to not even bother with people who lie about who they are just to try to change you

well said. The one I use: As I look back on my life, I realize that overtime I thought I was being rejected from something good. I was actually being re-directed to something better.

Don't trust anyone. They will use your personal information to benefit themselves, especially ones with extreme daddy issues who want to "help you" because of their fucked up past, not mine. Every day I still feel the regret, it's an awful feeling.

Have faith in your gods. I wouldn't have made it so far without anything to live for, my gods gave me that will.

I was born with the ability to see every possible future of mine, then choose and calculate the best path? You gain some courage, but then mix a bit of a prophecy and you've got will.

An important life lesson that I have learned, actually stems from a quote by Lao Tzu (An ancient Chinese philosopher, and writer). It goes like, "Care about what other people think and you will always be their prisoner." Basically take criticism with a grain of salt. Caring about other peoples thoughts on you will hinder you in daily life, and general happiness.

Have low expectations fit everyone, that way it's harder for them to disappoint you and you can be more surprised by them.
Don't bother showing your intelligence to others, the less intelligent they think you are the less they'll expect things from you.

"Don't trust anyone." or "Take everything with a grain of salt." or "Don't take everything you read as gospel."
Kind of ironic actually.
