Fake Piercings
« on: January 13, 2018, 02:47:07 pm »
Does anyone here have fake piercings or know of any cool ones?

I'm getting a basic fake helix piercing sometime this month but I was wondering if anyone knows of any neat fake nose rings, and other types of piercings.

I was going to get a faux nose ring, but they're pretty pricey

I don't know much good options or brands but you can get them in stores that sell body jewelry

Honestly fake piercings are a waist of money they usually fall out pretty easily and are made of cheap materials I'd wait till you're allowed to or can afford to get real ones

That is true, I've seen some with really bad reviews. The one I purchased for now (since my parents won't let me get a real one for probably 2, and maybe 4 years if I go to community college, and that's quite a wait lol) has awesome reviews and a lot of people say that it stays in well ^^ so hopefully the reviews are correct! Thanks for the advice tho, it's always good to be cautious when spending good money on something that's a bit risky!

I agree with Frankie, they're usually flimsy and uncomfortable. I'd wait until you can get the real deal, basic piercings like a ear piercing cost around 20-50 dollars which can easily be spent on Xmas/bday money. And simply tell your parents that it's not permanent, and if you decide not to have a piercing anymore it can heal up. Keep in mind, though, that helix piercings can be very painful since it's cartilage. But don't let that discourage you! it's well worth it ♥

I have a couple fake septum piercings (edgy ik) because I don't want to commit to anything and they work well, it was $10-20 each one. I think septum piercings in general are a little easier because you can always hide them by turning them upwards.

Thanks so much for the advice Avery! :pawheart: Currently I'm allowed to get regular ear piercings (earlobe) so I'm getting those when spring break comes! ^^ unfortunately my parents are less permitting when it comes to cartilage and recently cartilage piercings such as helix and industrial have been fascinating me so much despite the pain they might be x3 and tysm!!

Yeah, they definitely are a way to see how they look like without making a final decision ^^
