I live in Utah, the Salt Lake Valley.
We get so much snow that we never have had a snow day. Only once has there been a time where my school district (Jordan), delayed school for a couple hours so everyone could get to school. I was in first grade.
As we were going back into school after the break, we got half a foot of snow overnight. So right now there's just over a foot of snow on the ground. (in the ski resorts there's up to 5 feet even). A couple school districts just said "oh, school's delayed a couple hours so people get plowed out"
Jordan School District: "Drive Safe everyone!"
(According to legend the last snowday was called about 40 years ago...)
