And only....
Whats that?

WHAT?!?
Even we did better yesterday, with 11 new topics 376 new posts, 6 new members, and 86 online!

(Ahh, sorry for double posting, It won't let me edit-)
Assuming no one posts in spam in testing, it would take about 3 years to even it out with the competing board, General chatter.
Three years.
Just think about that for a second.

The math done was the following;
Spam/Testing (S/T) = 291296 posts
General Chatter (GC) = 97779 posts
S/T - GC = 193517.
So, General Chatter needs 193517 posts to even it out.
193517/365 (Days in a year) = 530.183561644
Average posts per day (APPD) = 185.84
so,
530.183561644/185.84 = 2.85290336657
Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Those calculations look all correct. Geez. A long time.

I have a theory, that the number of new members is very closely related to the number of new topics. So here's a bunch of math.

Stats from | New topics | New members | Ratio
2017         |      2088    |           584      | 3.5;1
2016         |      3314    |        1078       | 3;1
2015         |      3169    |         830        | 4;1
2014         |      3389    |         679        | 5;1
2013         |      3114    |         793        | 4;1
2012         |      1716    |         578        | 3;1
2011         |      2037    |         634        | 3;1
2010         |      2420    |         545        | 4.5;1
2009         |      1592    |         351        | 4.5;1
2008         |      1167    |         281        | 4;1
2007         |      955      |         277        | 3.5;1
2006         |      751      |         148        | 5;1

Then you add all the ratios~

Then you Divide by twelve!
47-4
12-1
4;1!
So, for every new member they make at least 4 topics ^^
But looking at the other stats, either I made a mistake or a lot of new members don't post any new topics =/

Soooo, I decided to check my work!
There is a total of 5075 members and 22846 topics as of posting date, and you just divide 22846 by 5075 and you get 4.5.
5075 divided by its self is one, so we get the ratio of 4.5;1

Not on the dot, but close enough for me! What do you guys think of my theory? Did I make any mistakes?

One thing I notice was that the ratios on my table seemed to always stay in a 5-3;1 range. Can someone explain how/why please?

@Mar In a perfect world you would be spot on, but an average that has several outliers is essentially useless in the mathematic world. Certainly a new member (Jasper was at one time) can in their stay write many many new topics, but then some never will write any. A more precise averaging would be to take a subset like New Members during May-September 2017.
