Movie Soundtracks
« on: August 28, 2016, 10:22:50 pm »
After just responding to another thread, In-Game Music, I've been inspired to post a similar thread about music in movies. Movies can be rather reliant on their soundtracks, as they express the tone of their particular scenes. Whether it be an original score or an unoriginal selection of music, it can often times make or break a scene. Some movies don't really use them to set a scene though, as they're also used just to add to the enjoyment; such is the case of my favorite movie soundtrack, Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1. Watching Guardians of the Galaxy is a great time, and the 1970s throwback soundtrack only adds to the fun and excitement of the movie. I couldn't help but laugh when the movie opens up with a rather serious tone only to give way to a solo dance scene with "Come and Get Your Love" by Redbone. Other fantastic songs on the soundtack include "Hooked On a Feeling" by Blue Suede, "Go All tne Way" by The Raspberries, and "Spirit In the Sky" by Norman Greenbaum.
