Last Song on a possible Doomsday..
« on: December 21, 2007, 11:45:44 am »
If there was one song you could listen to before all ceases to exist, what would it be?

I'd have to go with the Crazy Frog version of "The Final Countdown" [minus the frog portions ^ ^;]

* This is just a little thing I thought up, I don't want to start anything religious, okies? ^_^

"Need Rp?" - I'm always willing to start one, just tell meh when!' -
" Glory to God, it is broken! They Are Free!! " - Hale. Act 1 Sc.1
" ... and here I am, with a tooth of gold, and no one to smile at.." - Fortunato.

The Never Ending Song
"Life's journey is not about arriving at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Shit, what a ride""
"Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means you are two steps ahead"
"Invoke not common sense, for it is not common"
"A life without joy is a wasted one, and you got but one to waste."
"To touch the clouds, you need to reach for the stars"

Not if you've got hearing like mine. Tinnitus teaches you to ignore constant noises.

a group of girls started singing that on the bus once and by the second line just about the whole bus had joined in, i couldn't decide if it was annoying or hilarious.

Understand ye perfectly, 'twould be quite fitting indeed.
As for me...
well...
"Waiting for the end of the world" by Elvis Costello would be my joke answer.
As for my real answer-
Well. How's the world going to end, I have to ask?

At first I thought "what would make a good soundtrack for watching the world end?"
And then I realized
The world is ending! I'm not gonna sit and watch! I'm gonna DO STUFF!
Or am I? I can't really know.
But if I was trying to enjoy every second I had left, I'd just listen to things that were good.
Dang it, you're making me ponder deep things here! I don't know.

A toute le monde by megadeth, if you know the lyrics (or at least the french part) it would fit.

Fields of Mars by Bad Religion
Aces High by Iron Maiden (ONLY if the world ends in an epic battle, ala Armageddon.)
In Death's Embrace by Dimmu Borgir
The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails

That's all I've got.

I dunno O-o
i already know that for my funeral i would want "i've got a lovely bunch of coconuts" played. but um..
for an end of the world.. first thing that comes to mind it "Anthem Of Our Dying Day" by Story of the Year.

maybe "Disenchanted" by My Chemical Romance.

also on the list of possibilities are "how far we've come" and "These Hard times" .. both by matchbox twenty ><

O-o dunno.
or something completely happy and/or wrong for the occasion.
like . . . . . um. somethign else by monty python.
or Star Trekkin. (dr demento?)
or.. Attack of the Giant ants (by blondie =3)

One other good song on a possible doomsday would be Rooftops by The Lost Prophets...

Lerycs again is the reason

"Standing on the roof tops, waiting till the bomb drops..."

I really hope our doomsday will be more interesting/less pathetic than literal bombs, if we have a doomsday.
