Art is exhausting...
« on: October 15, 2016, 02:52:01 pm »
Literally. Art has always made me exhausted, and it takes a TON of energy to create artwork. I don't know what's going on, is this normal? Does this mean I don't TRULY enjoy it or something, that I'm doing it for some other reason?

Hm, I think it just depends on the person doing it and what you're drawing. I only really enjoy making artwork when I'm inspired, or if I like what I am drawing. But like, I get SO bored and SO tired in my college art classes because they make us draw boring stuff like still lifes, yknow?

I think it just depends on your mood. I wouldn't worry too much! If you feel dread everytime you draw though, maybe it's not for you

Yeah, it's there no matter if I'm drawing digitally or traditionally, modeling or animating... I always thought it was just because I was working hard, so maybe it's just that? Maybe not?

Maybe? I dunno! I think if you like creating, then you should keep doing it, but if you start feeling bad then take a break for sure.

You might just be pushing yourself too hard. Or there's a bigger issue in your life that's keeping you from enjoying things you normally enjoy, and you're not dealing with it. I know I've had both of those things happen to me before.

I honestly don't know what the feeling is, all I know is I feel bad. IDK if it's exhaustion, frustration, envy, depression, or something else. I'm terrible with feelings...
