Is it possible to "fake" pen pressure using a mouse?
« on: December 02, 2016, 03:13:34 pm »
Welp

Just found out that the school admins won't let me install the Wacom program thing onto the computer for setup right before I planned on buying an Intuos, so I'll have to do all my stuff at home on Paint Tool if I even get the chance

Soooooo

Is there any way I can fake pen pressure in my drawings using a mouse? I use the latest version of Photoshop at school btw

Is there a particular brush setting?

They won't let you install anything, but I found a way to not install things but still able to run the software. But this is only if it is just a program and does not require drivers.

Note: Please do this part at home.
1. Get a USB big enough to hold the program you are using. Most likely, any USB should work.
2. Obtain the Wacom installation file.
3. Create a new folder on the USB and call it Wacom
3. Run the installation file, but when it asks you where you want to install it, navigate to the USB drive and into the Wacom folder.
4. After it installs, navigate to the Wacom folder on the USB and try running the exes to see which one works, or if any work. DON'T DELETE ANYTHING!!!

5. If all is successful, the software should run correctly. Unplug the USB, plug it into the school folder, and you can run the program off the USB without installing a thing!

though it may not if the installer requires admin privilages and the permissions on the computers are limited, im not sure though
