Does anyone know what to do if your Xbox 360 won't read a certain disc?

If it's a specific disc, it's most likely that the disc surface is dirty or damaged. Try cleaning it with warm water and sopa and letting it air dry. A local gaming or video store might charge a small fee to resurface the disc if it's scratched, or there are a number of mail-in services. You shouldn't have to pay more than a few dollars for that sort of thing. Alternatively, you can buy a disc resurfacing tool to fix it with, do it yourself with home-sourced materials (polishing it for a while with some tooth paste or other mild abrasive works for light and moderate damage, or you can rub and polish the disc with a clear wax to fill in scratches), or simply buy a new copy of the game.

I had this issue when I owned a 360
I ended up buying a ps3 to replace it
I never figured out how to fix it
So I wish you luck
But I really recommend what Vlad said

At this point I think my xbox is dying. I'll just have to get a new console when it's possible.

Oh, I forgot to mention two things- first, if you have a friend or a relative with an Xbox, try the suspect disc in theirs to see if it works. This'll let you know if it's the console or the disc that's the problem. If it's just a bad disc, you don't need to spend all the money on a new console.

Secondly, sometimes when your console will only read some discs and not others, it's because the laser in the disc reader is dirty or getting old and starting to fail. If you can get a can of compressed air (one of those aerosol 'keyboard duster' doohickies) and blow it around into the open disc drive tray, you might be able to clean it out, as Xrig suggested. If that doesn't work, the laser may be failing, and the Xbox will only read certain discs. In that case you may want to replace the console.

(Also, even if your console has problems, it's still worth something. You can get around $15-50 for broken 360s on eBay depending on what's wrong with it and what model it is. You may also be able to find a thrift store, gaming shop, or other local business that will buy it from you. Make sure you take your hard drive out/off of it and reset it to factory defaults in the menu.)
