Wiretapped phone??!
« on: February 23, 2017, 12:29:23 pm »
My dad must have wiretapped my phone or something or put something invisible on there, because he's tracking me and telling me to get off games or stop texting people. I don't know what to do or how to disable it. My battery is so low and I don't know what to do, my phone isn't working the same way it used to. How to remove tracking when I don't know his password?

Idk what kind of phone you have, but maybe try a factory reset if it lets you? That would likely solve it if it was a software thing. Though, that sounds like a super intense tracker so idk ;o;

Thanks so much for the advice! Unfortunately my dad told me that if I ever tried a factory reset on my ("his") phone then he'd take it away forever, so I'll try that as a last resort.

Maybe look up ways to deal with it on another device. Like Google it on a school computer
Its sad that you have to deal with this
I'm no parent but I think this is wrong
Its one thing to be protective but giving your kid especially if they're a teen no privacy is bad news

My parents did me to my PC a couple of times (They still do to an extent), but I wouldn't do anything too rash right now. Treat it as more of a social issue rather, try and discuss or compromise with your parents, you'd be amazed the compromises that can be made if you just keep your cool and be polite about it.

Although, disabling your GPS settings /might/ work, depending on how the program on the phone works. However, this only blocks location tracking in most cases though :\
