All my sweaters are in the wash but they're all worth over $150 each. I got them at goodwill for like $7 a piece

A while back I found a really cool fake-leather jacket at Value Village for only $6. I've worn it almost everyday since the day my mom bought it for me, and I've gotten tons of compliments on it from friends and strangers alike. It looks just like real leather haha

(Might update with pictures later)

I wouldn't necessarily call it a thrift shop find considering it was purchased at a yard sale, but I have an antique radio which my mother bought for me at only $15. The radio itself is a Zenith, a company that began as Chicago Radio Labs in 1918. The company soon expanded itself to other electronics including televisions. In 1995, Korean electronic empire, Lucky Goldstar, gained a controlling stock share on Zenith and later fully owned the brand in 1999. The radio I found is likely from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I've tried to get a validation on the radio's exact age through the internet and even a local radio expert who couldn't identify the radio. The radio still works to this day although it's difficult to recieve a good signal. What I really appreciate about the Zenith radio is the hand-wired circuitry. I can tell that the people of Zenith actually cared about their devices and took the time to make sure everything was right to the little details. I can't find that in any electronic assembly today. Another interesting fact about the radio is that it has both A.M. and F.M. frequencies on the same dial which was rare for a radio of its era.

All of my favorite jackets, & sports coats where from thrift shops. I even have 3 full leather, steampunk style, trench coats that all fit me perfectly, all from the same place. Love thrift stores.

I once found a sealed DVD copy of Ice Princess for $2. If may not be an exciting find for most people but it was for. Ice Princess is one of my all time favourite movies but they don't make the DVDs anymore so they're hard to find and expressive normally

I found a few vinyls of the original Decca label Ink Spots and sadly I didn't get them but I did end up getting a box with a bunch of influential Maxis games from the 90s (SimCity 2000, SimAnt, SimLife, SimEarth, etc..) for like $0.75 and I also got a bird cage once for my friend for $3

Thrift stores have some of the coolest things if you know where to go. I've always wanted to visit one in a wealthier neighborhood just to see what people are donating there, as opposed to the poorer ones I go to regularly.
I went to a very homophobic, religious secondhand shop, a few months back, with a friend and found a whole bunch of gay pornographic books. It was kind of funny, honestly. While I didn't buy it, there was another time that I found a brand new chainsaw.

I've a $40 vintage alarm clock that I bought for $1.50 at a Purple Heart thrift store.
I've found books that would easily sell for $20-$30 a piece for $.50 a piece at various thrift stores.
I bought a CRT television for nostalgia's sake for $5. Turned around and sold the thing for $60. Turned out it was rare for the DVD era to cross over with the CRT TV era so the fact that it had a built in DVD player made it rare.

My favorite thing was a pair of Aiwa bookshelf speakers that were made back when Aiwa was still a good company. They've got a midsize woofer and a three tweeter array and they kick a**. I love them so much. Crisp loud highs and pretty deep lows for their size. Best $5 ever spent.
