Motivation help

Title says it. Even if I have no access to entertainment whatsoever, I still can't get myself to do my assignments. Any advice appreciated

Take short breaks so like do work for 5 mins, then 5 min break but dont do anything that will make your breaks longer so perhaps just wash some dishes, quick doodle or eat. Slowly try to make those breaks less often or when u have the breaks eventually make them longer. Doing work early in the morning when u most awake helps. And naps in the afternoon if u ever get the chance. Try to have allocated times to do nothing at all so u feel refreshed. Or go to a place like a library to study.

Get rid of all your procrastination devices/tools. Work for 30 mins at a time, then break for a short period. Try and figure out why you're procrastinating and utilise it.
eg. For me it's youtube. So I might do three pages of notes then watch a video, and repeat.

I struggle with motivation a lot too. When I'm on my own doing homework with no distractions, there's just something blocking me from actually doing any work. To combat this, I normally take my work elsewhere. There's something about being around other people that motivates me, especially in a setting where other people are doing work too.

 I recommend taking half an hour of your work to a library or coffee shop. For me at least, the motivation I get from being in places like that is enough to carry on until I get home. Studies have actually shown that without the triggers they used to have, heroin addicts could get over their addiction much easier if they were in a different environment; maybe motivation block is similar.
