I can't think of anything, just go about making the head like you would a basic expression but with something else. Be sure to make concepts first for reference and don't be afraid to exaggerate^^

Sorry if this has been asked before but what type of foam would be good?
A lot of tutorials just have good sources for fur but not foam
Or does the type of foam not really matter?

Upholstery foam! It can be ordered online or bought from Jo-Ann's (not sure if they have those in your area, but the foam there goes on sale regularly and is of pretty good quality.)

Yes upholstery foam! Its th only foam you should use for fursuit making. If you want something cheaper places like Wal-Mart has some decent upholstery foam and I've seen a few makers use it(the white/yellow stuff) but the green stuff(that you get a places like Jo-anns) is much better. The other stuff is just a convenient substitute really ^^

(sorry for the double post I can't edit it if I wanted to to xux)

Don't know if this is the right place to ask but does any cosplayers or people in general here know were to get some decent to high quality wigs?
Most of my suits will have hair and wefting it is just so tedious I'd rather piece together a few wigs over placing individual hairs especially when said character has really long hair.

MatchWigs and Arda are my absolute favs! Arda is better, but MatchWigs is more affordable. The wig caps can be stretched and cut too to fit a larger head. (or in this case, a fursuit)

I read somewhere that those crocs that have fur inside them are good if the paws will be large because they're kind of sturdy, but otherwise most makers just use slim canvas shoes.

It really depends.

Crocs are sturdy, but bulky and not the best choice if you're going to be dancing or anything that takes a lot of energy and grace (I don't know how else to phrase it.).
I've seen feet paws custom made to be small, and some without a shoe base. That's always an option!
Converse shoes might hurt your feet after a while since they're flat, and lack support along the bottom. Nonetheless, they'll probably hold up well.
If you're making these for winter, you might not want to go with any shoes already meant to keep you warm. Foam and fur get hot and stay hot.
My own feet paws are in good shape after lots of wear and tear, and they were built on these:

Hey just wanna inform fellow new makers here that there is a nice new store that opened up over the summer last year more expensive but high quality and have rare/hard to find furs, bf and I both ordered from here with no problems and love the furs we got :3 plan on buying from again!
https://www.howlfabrics.com/

Also be wary of Distinctive Fabrics and Fabric Empire, recently heard of Fabric Empire pulling a scam and saw lots of people talking about poor customer service, DF has always had poor customer service and have shipped the wrong furs with no compensation whatsoever as well.

Edit: Almost forgot that due to a lot of the furs being rare/hard to find they are limited so if needing it try to save up enough for an extra yard or two just in case! and no guarantee the furs will still be there when you have the money for it, the fur I ordered for example was limited and they no longer have it in stock. I purchased a little extra to make up for the chance of it not being available ^^
