i want to change my fursonas design so it has more if its interests reflected in her appearance. She loves America, art, she's a dreamer, etc.

I was wondering about changing her color scheme from red/orange/white/black to blue/orange/white but it feels like too much of a change. I still want her to look somewhat like the original. Plus blue and orange don't go together.

I was thinking of adding a marking or two, or maybe just a new form, but I don't know what. Suggestions, please?

Who says blue and orange don't go together?  :fox-:P: they're compliments, so they actually bring out a vibrant contrast in each other and can look really beautiful!

Either way. I suggest downloading some FREE to use lineart (we even have a thread for that here) and roughly color it in on ms paint. It doesn't have to be perfect, because you're just practicing different designs!

Save the ones you like, and tweak your favorite until it becomes something you really click with. It might take a while, but that's okay. ^^

If you're still stuck, post some pictures of rough ideas here and people will gladly give you an opinion!

It would make sense to give her more cool colors like white and blue (with some grey to compliment), if she's a big dreamer, give her colors that represent peace and heaven-Then proceed to add other colors on clothes or accessories, but do not overdo it

Try not to add very bold colors (for example, the three main colors in the color wheel is red, blue, and yellow-You can use one of these colors but need complimenting colors so the piece isn't 'too much' to look at-It'll be a big turn off to others when you have vibrant and odd color schemes)

Hope this helps somewhat

Thanks, but I have to keep the warm colors somewhat. She is a dreamer, but she's very fiery and outgoing as well. I was thinking of a way to blend the two together.

I think some blue outlined with some orange and white markings would look awesome!
Like a white stomach with a small outline of orange and then blue. IF that makes any sense lol.

Yeah this sounds like a good design to me, it still has that bright orange, but the white kin d of calms it down. You could add some orange markings on her back too if that sounds good to you.

I like the look of Orange and blue together ^^ if you pick some more muted shades it can look especially good. If you're worried about it being too much you can always make her prodomitally blue and white then add orange as an accent for the paw pads, eyes, nose etc

Thanks of the advice guys. I'm definetely keeping her primary fur colors orange+white, maybe I'll add blue accents, but I think it would just be better to give her a secondary form that happens to be blue. Thanks :3
