Well. I have an idea.

It is about fursonas. I was planning to put it in art, but the basis of it is founded on a video game, so I figured it might be seen more here. Protogens recently had an uptick on the forum. That can be credited to a user here named Glitched, but might it also be pure interest in robotic stuff. If so, while I was playing an old video game that no one ever remembers, called The Day the World Broke, I had an idea. The main non-human creatures in the storyline are called 'mechanimals', pictured on the cover of the game below. These 'mechanimals' are half mechanical and half animal, as in one of the main characters is a camera and a gecko. This game freaked me out as a kid, but now I think it would be cool to have a mechanimal fursona. I've done some research, and the company that made the game, HMI (Now defunct), doesn't appear to hold copyright on the concept, nor does anyone else it appears, so it's just an idea, but I figured maybe someone else would find it cool too. Names that are taken by the main characters of the game and should not be used can be found below.
By Source, Fair use, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?curid=32302115
Lugnut
Carbine
Diode
Ohm
Ratchet
I know for a certainty that there are more, but that is all I can think of right now. Do your research before naming if you choose to do a mechanimal.

I've actually seen something similar to this on some other social media platforms. What I'm thinking of is referred to as Postfurry, and it's more or less based around postmodernism in the furry media.

A little bit of searching brought up these pages:

Where as this is interesting, it wasn't quite what I meant. The characters I'm talking about were more mechanical than postfurries. More of them was made of steel and glass and plastic, than postfurries. Example:
A mechanimal from the game:
Phlange from The Day the World Broke. Sourced from Metzomagic.
versus the postfurry on the wiki page:
Postvixen by Postvixen. Sourced from Wikifur.
