"Growing out" of being a furry?
« on: July 27, 2017, 06:05:36 pm »
I'm a pretty young fur (13 years of age) and I am afraid I will grow out of being a furry.
I don't know why, but I know I will and I don't want to. What are the chances?
I am pretty "obsessed" with the fandom and everyone here is so friendly that I don't wanna leave this community.

I'm 17 and I still love it
I know a dude who is 24 and he's still very active in the fandom
I say if you just keep loving anthropomorphic animals then you will always be a furry ^^

If you don't want to grow out of it, you won't. People join and stay in the fandom for years. So as long as you like anthro animals you're safe :3

I'm 18 and I'm still a furry. You may end up not as obsessed as you used to be, but you'll still find yourself liking the fandom and the art

I figure you'll stay in it a while. I mean, there are sixty year olds in the fandom. I figure for someone like me, it would be my situation with some tv shows that I don't watch anymore or look at fanart, but when I do see something related to it I remember just how much I love it.

I've been in the furry fandom for over five years, and it's only growing on me. There are furries in the twenties, thirties, and so on. People of all ages enjoy it, so you probably won't outgrow it unless you want to.

I can understand this fear. My interests used to flexuate a lot so I'd be super obsessed with something for a year or two and then kind of get over it. I've been in this fandom for 3 years now and have no intention of saving anytime soon though. I find since this is more of an interactive community where you scan produce content as well as consume it and just have casual everyday conversations as well it's not something I get bored of
