Learning Scottish Gaelic
« on: August 24, 2017, 09:12:30 pm »
Well, I'm trying to learn Scottish Gaelic (among several other languages) and I realized it's a little-known but unique language that truly deserves more respect. If you're also learning Gaelic, here's a place to suggest resources, share what you know, and tell of your progress learning it.

Here's a resource I suggest using. It's under 24 hours of videos, from BBC Alba (BBC of Scotland), that teaches you everything you'd need to know in Scottish society: Speaking Our Language

Uill, tha mi a 'feuchainn ri Gàidhlig ionnsachadh ann an Alba (am measg grunn chànanan eile) agus thuig mi gur e cànan fìor aithnichte ach fìor-rìribh a tha airidh air barrachd spèis. Ma tha thu ag ionnsachadh na Gàidhlig cuideachd, tha seo na àite airson goireasan a mholadh, na tha fios agad a roinn, agus innse mun adhartas a tha thu ag ionnsachadh.

Is e seo stòr a tha mi a 'moladh a chleachdadh. Tha e fo 24 uair a thìde de bhideothan, bho BBC Alba, a tha a 'teagasg dhut gu bheil a h-uile dad a dh' fheumas tu ann an coimhearsnachd na h-Alba: A 'Bruidhinn Ar Cànan

Note: Scottish Gaelic, is not to be confused with the language Scots, which is also an interesting language to learn.
