So just talk about any weird coincidences you have where you feel like you're doing something exactly the way you have before.

I'll start

At lunch today i was talking with myfriends when i realized we were talking about the same thing, with everything around us in the same position, as in a dream i had the night before. I stopped mid sentence and was just like "what, the actual fuck"

I get these all the time. I would dream of stuff and it would actually happen a few months later.
I'm sure there's a scientific reason for it, but I'm not sure.

Happens to me all the time. It's like you see the future, but really pointless parts of it, lol

Yeah. Same here. My theory is that the mind works out the mathematically sensible thing to happen.

yeah, though that doesn't explain the seemingly random shit, like, every single thing being in the same position, and every word being said the samee. it's really freaky and for some reason everybody experiences it it seems.

I experience stuff like this from time to time. It's been most prominent on the three times I've visited Salem, Massachusetts. For example, there was a tree that had been struck by lightning at least three times- I could swear on my life that I've seen it before, despite having never been there. A few times, I've had oddly specific dreams in which I'm in hotels or I'm a criminal investigator, and within a week or two, I see the exact same thing happening to a character on television.
I was sort of 'taught' to think of deja vu as a spiritual thing, like I'd experienced the exact thing in another life.

Deja Vu is pretty intesting actually.

There's a theory that it's either: Your brain trying to fill in empty space (I.E a dream you can't remember, so it fills it in with something during the day), or that there was a split-second delay in transferring info from one side of the brain to the other, so one side gets the info twice, making you think you remember something although your brain is tripping over itself >.>

There's a bunch of theories on why it happens but it all seems to go down the same path as your brain having a screw up somewhere for a second.

I get it sometimes though, rather rarely but usually a bit after I wake up. Like i'll make coffee and i'll think "Wait.. i feel like i've already done this today..."

Okay I'm response to this and Peanut's post, I forget where but I read somewhere that your brain does subconsciously predict the future sometimes, using what it already knows. Your brain has a lot of power that you aren't consciously using, especially while you're dreaming, so that's usually when it makes those predictions using all your previous memories. That's why your gut instinct is usually right, and why people often feel as if they've dreamed of certain situations happening before.

Yep. But did you know you can also do that consciously? If you have a middle school understanding of math, you can predict the future.

I've never heard of this before, but I'd believe it. If you ever recall where you heard it, let me know; I want to learn more.

This is really specific BUT I frequently have this thing where I swear I recognize someone's fursona (or username) but I don't have any hint as to where. It doesn't happen here so much as it does in Telegram groups, other forums, or even places like Twitter/Tumblr. I know its probably because I'm more active in the fandom than I realize (so I see a lot of fursonas in passing), but it feels like a weird specific deja vu.
