Steven Universe
« on: September 21, 2017, 07:48:27 pm »
I'm not sure if there is a thread already like this one, and I apologize if there is.

This is a thread dedicated to the amazing television show Steven Universe.
I am a huge fan of the show. It's just so unique and fresh compared to other shows out there. Plus, it has an exquisite soundtrack. If there are any other fans of SU out there. Feel free to post here.
You can discuss favorite episodes, characters, fanart, and updates on the show if your heart desires it.

I watched some of the first season it was pretty good.
It's hard for me to get into shows unless they're live action dramas.
Is it just me or does the quality of animation go down in later seasons ??? I watched a newer episode with my brother the other day

There's an animator on the team named Lauren Zuke who likes to give the characters bigger heads. She typically works on less important episodes while Rebecca Sugar works on the more plot-heavy episodes that are more integral to the plot.
Also I FULLY Recomend continuing on because this show is pretty deep for what seems like a silly cartoon at a glance. We have complex relationships, aliens understanding humanity, and a very unique view of what might instead happen if aliens were to come to earth. (and honestly it's more realistic what the gem civilization did to earth than the usual "aliens come to kill humans" thing)

Reality is the things that, no matter how hard you try, won't cease to exist.

Exactly! That's what I love about it. It's something new and different. Plus it's not afraid to be controversial.
Oh, and to go ahead and put it out there, I strongly ship Lapis and Peridot

I haven't seen it, but I want to watch the first couple of episodes sometime. I like cartoons, and I've seen my younger brother watching it and he seems to like it.
