Anyone else do this?
« on: September 24, 2017, 03:37:51 am »
Does anyone else sketch/line in different colours for each different character?
EX:
Mar- Sketched in teal and lined/inked in a dark maroon purple thingy
Unnamed/unknown - sketched in grey and inked in purple
Abigail Noon - Sketched in orange and inked in multiple colours, or just black.
Does anyone else do this, or is it just me ^^*

I do this, but not for all me characters.
Like, for Shade I sketch in the blue I always use for her.
But then, with Oak or Cherry, I sketch in red.
So for me I guess it depends on the species.

I usually use gray lines for my dog characters, and blue for Shia. It's also pretty easy to mix line colors on SAI

I don't do it anymore, but I used to do this with my old fursonas, Limelight and Demiurge; they always had to be green and red respectively.

Hmm no I don't, I generally pick whatever color I feel like using at the time to sketch(red at the moment) and black for inks(I color them afterwords) and I only change up my sketch color as it sometimes give me that extra motivation boost for drawing even though its such a minor change.
I use to only ever use black for sketching and inks though XP I will occasionally use the color of the character for sketching, again for that odd motivation boost but not often.
